I agree with most of everything here, except for the items you get from orbs. Vilethorn is pretty nice, but the Cloud is too good for attacking downward. Fire and forget as well, which means more damage. Ball of Hurt is ok, but you can make a similar one in the crimson with just crimtane, the Rotted Fork is an amazing spear for the point you get it and not nearly as cumbersome to use as flails are. Light pets are pretty same, Undertaker might deal less damage per shot, but it's faster. Band of Starpower is way better then panic necklace, mostly for the things it turns into.

But really, yeah, Worm Scarf is amazing and would decide my types of worlds more if Crimson didn't have better hardmode stuff.

Using anything but a Broken Copper Shortsword with no non-vanity armor or non-vanity accessories is the DEFINITIVE sign of a beta.

As a summonfag with a secondary melee weapon, should I use squire armour or stick to spider? I already have ocular staff, so it makes things even more complicated for me. Placing turrets seems like a damn hassle, but I like the HP regen and additional melee bonus.

He can be spawned just about anytime in hardmode, but he's intended to be Post-Mechanical.

Revengeance Skeletron Prime down. That was the first fight that has actually been a challenge.

what kind of setup did you use for normal Skeletron?

Just a long platform with some heart lamps and campfires scattered around. Revengeance Skeletron wasn't that bad but it did take a couple pulls to get used to the constant skull fire.

my usual setup for bard is the following
pre-hm
-Guitar Pick
-Silver Mounthpiece
-Plunger Mute
-Hermes Boot
-Band Kit
if you play on multiplayer swap the band kit for a subwoofer after skeletroni
early-hm
-Guitar Pick Clawn
-Epic Mouthpiece
-Straight Mute
-Bard Emblem
-Frostspark Boots
-Wings

once you get a flying mount swap the wings for a ankh shield

Just keep following the wiki and making new weapons as soon as you get the materials for them, then choose which accessories to use based on the best weapon you can use at the moment that you find more comfortable. Also, grind your way to maximum inspiration as soon as you can, it helps a fuckton.
My favorite thing about the class early on was how every weapon is different from each other, so there was all that sense of discovery. And even after having just beat Plantera it feels like there are new things to see all the time.

So I have cactus armor and some defense trinkets that brings me to 11 armor, should I be able to do eye of Cthulhu with this new fancy sword I found and an iron skin pot? (expert mode, 250ms ping)

Just get hermes boots and you're good.

I mean, it's not impossible. But I don't know why you would rush to do it in expert mode with the bare minimum amount of defense you need for him to spawn on his own unless you're confident enough about your dodging skills that you shouldn't need to ask.

Get an addy or titanium repeater. Hell, you can just build a platform higher up than the destroyer is long and shoot down with holy arrows and win.

Because I don't spend a lot of time on the surface buying a clentaminator and a couple hundred solutions would take almost all of my money and I was just going to build a lake for each biome in the sky but the cunt still hasn't given me a bottomless bucket.
