how's the zelda botw emulator these days?

Is anyone having an issue in higan with bsnes, where randomly you'll drop from 60fps to 30fps? Been happening to me with the current release, first release I've ever used. Happens with super metroid and chrono trigger. I just save state, close, reload state and it's good. Happens sometimes going between fullscreen/windowed and sometimes during game events(opening chests in ct, getting upgrades in sm).

Yessir. I went to that forum with the "premium" links, to that other place with some .PKG but nothing there. I did find one but the links looked fishy and there was something about additional software so I steered clear of it.

Anyone know why reshade isn't working with the gl video driver on retroarch? Seems to work with d3d no matter what api I selected during set-up.

There's some disinfo going around that Dolphin can emulate N64 games better than Project64.
They don't mention that those games are full of hacks which is why Nintendo could make them work also forget to mention that some games including the N64 Zeldas games run at really low framerate and you have to overclocked Dolphin's CPU to 200% (anything less and you have drops) to even hit the measly 20FPS those games run at.

I feel like you're confused. MinGW hasn't been updated for like 3 years and it still supports 95, 98, NT 4, and XP. I know because I used it last year, although I think I remember that you needed to install IE5 for W95 because it installed some required dll. The only major issues I had with it was not supporting POSIX threads and that can be worked around with typedefing some shit.

RetroArch will never be considered a mainstream media platform until it can provide a quality experience for displaying video, audio, images, that is competitive to standalone media players. Until then, it'll just be "an emulation box".

It's just extremely ressource heavy, so any PC can turn it on but you need a beefy PC to use that on certain cores.
Beetle PSX goes from about 240fps to about 100fps when I have it on for example.

It was, but got noticed by Nintendo.

Im trying to play persona 3 portable on ppsspp but theres no sound. ppsspp doesnt make any sound in the menu either but im not sure if thats normal or not. Speccy is attached and im using the latest version of ppsspp, theres no sound in the standard or x64 version.

what programs do you have running there?

Forgot to mention i tried both audio backends under settings. Also tried Acecombat X, same results, game runs fine but no sound.

the first one is iridium, its a fork of chromium. second one is throttlestop, im trying it out to undervolt the cpu a bit. I checked to make sure it wasnt muted and the audio is set t come out of the laptop speakers instead of the bluetooth speaker ive got. Just to be sure i turned bluetooth off.

Its enabled under the gamesettings tab at the top and under the setting tab in the main menu. Both games i tried i went under theirs options and turned the volume all the way up.

Are there any full-fledged, completed, entirely overhauled ROMhacks for OoT or MM yet? Everything I've seen is either unfinished/abandoned, or just a slight mod of the base game, like Voyager of Time or the Nightmare mod. The closest thing I've seen is Zelda's Birthday and it's pretty damn short. I'm looking for the Zelda equivalent of Mario 64 Star Road or Last Impact.

weird, i changed the backend from openGL to vulkan and it works now. Im not sure why that would fix it, im not actually positive about what a backend is to be honest. Thanks for the help though

Does Ridge Racer V emulate pretty poorly? I'm using pcsx2 and even on software mode there are minor issues that aren't present in the original.

Whats causing this? The floating black model does the same moments that I do. Its not present in the current mupen64 core on retroarch, but I cant get a steady frame rate on that.

Is it possible to play P5 in a non vulcan setting? It refuses to run it with vulcan on. And the game keeps crashing around 1 or 2m into the gameplay intro

All plugins have issues and the parallel plugin seems has the same floating model as glide.

The mupencore doesn't allow you to choose a plugin, but i think it uses gliden64 maybe.

This is caused by disabling the framebuffer. Conker's lower poly shadow model is rendered into a framebuffer and used for his shadow. Without the FB, this is rendered in the corner of the screen Did you tamper with any settings?

Could you elaborate on what you mean by this? Screenshots perhaps? Also, remember that GLideN64 2.0 is old as hell. Why the hell do emudevs in general suck at setting up build bots? It's not that fucking hard.
