I have no idea if cropped lewds are acceptable, but I don't have many EO images saved that I can also remember their locations.

Some guy rehosted the EO4 skill sim and made it better eo4skillsim.paperplane.io

So this is how it's going to start...

There's also an EO4 skill sim that you can download to your computer, it's pretty fantastic.

She lost but she is still having fun. Just like me running gimmick builds.

People on mobile can use this one and it looks like it's easier to share your build with others. Don't think the downloadable one has the right skill data either.

Does anyone else kinda like fivehead landsknecht?

She is a simple, slightly bland girl-next-door kinda gal.
Not like all the blonde sluts that are out of your league.
She is still out of your league but slightly less so.

I'm more worried about why cropped lewds is everything you can find in your computer.

I like her braids and armor more than the barbarian's Etria landsknecht are very bland as a whole anyway

I remember cropping this for the last thread. Noice.

Ahegaos are the way of life.

In the EOV website they have fixed many skill and most legendary names

Fencer: Phantom Duelist/Chain Duelist
Dragoon: Shield Bearer/Cannon Bearer
Warlock: Omnimancer/Elemencer
Masurao: Blade Dancer/Blade Master
Pugilist: Barrage Brawler/Impact Brawler
Botanist: Merciful Healer/Graced Poisoner
Necromancer: Summoning Necromancer/Expelling Necromancer
Harbinger: Annihilation Death/Rejuvenation Death
Rover: Flying Falcon/Hunting Hound
Shaman: Divine Punisher/Divine Herald

Browny is still mispelled as Brouni, however.

Yeah, that's the vibe I get from her!
>spoiler
;_; don't remind me

>tfw you will never go adventuring with this cutie.

>Harbinger: Annihilation Death/Rejuvenation Death
They still haven't toned down the AbSoLuTe EdGeLoRd names yet.

Why contain it?

They're supposed to be chuuni, why water it down?

They already watered it down when they removed REAPER
youtube.com/watch?v=JNM5mFQ9siI

They could have left them as Reaper if they keep the edgelord names.
And name Rover Harrier instead (because that's both a bird and a dog).

I was gonna propose Hunter, but Harrier fits their snowflake needs better.

My canon is that this cutie and this cutie are friends

I wish I could draw (and animate) to do a choreography for this. The mental image of reaper shaking her hips (and twintails) to this is too great but I can't share it.

I get what you mean! I have those all the time and it kills me inside. But actually starting to learn a hobby like that is too much of a mental block.

I am playing EOU2 (new to the series) and I was wondering: What kind of weapon should I give to my Troubadour?

I tried my hand at that long ago for years and failed horribly.
Either way, trying to use MMD would be a more realistic (if potentially uglier) approach. But learning how to make a reaper 3D model is already quite daunting by itself.

Bows scale with AGI instead of STR and since Troubadours are rather quick a bow allows them to deal some damage with a normal attack when they have othing else to do.
Especially in the beginning it can help a bit.

>Bows scale with AGI instead of STR
They... they do? In every EO game?

Only in 2U

Your troubadour will probably be doubling as a healer so a weapon that gives TEC might be nice.
Otherwise, you want that unit to go off first before anyone else. For that, weapons that give more speed (which is an "invisible" stat) are preferable, knives and bows are at the top.

But once the first couple floors are over, the damage is negligible. Although I used it to finish off enemies with just a pixel or two of HP left.

Bows and guns scale with AGI in EO2U and only EO2U.
That's why Gunner's can make great use of Affection Collar and Power Gel - those two are straight up AGI buffs and thus get around the dimishing returns on buffs that are pretty harsh in EO2U.

I'm not a huge fan of Troubs trying to heal in EO2U. It can work but other classes are way better at it like Souvereign.
Troubs are really focussed on buffs in EO2U but that's ok because all their stuff is so strong.

I like having a quick, cheap attack and Troub with a bow offers this - especially in random encounters when they have not too much else to do.

Oh, those are flower petals not giant, light pink sweat drops...

I haven't played EO2U so I have no idea what those are, but I'm sure that'll be good to know eventually.

The thing about it is that you'd need a lot of time to first learn it and then to make it. And even then it most likely won't look as good as it did in my head. I'll still probably try it once more, because at the moment I'm basically a neet and have nothing else to do.

A troubador healing saves you an useless/redundant unit like princess or medic. A salve grimoire does wonders.
Meanwhile in most situations normal attacking does... jack shit, defending would be better. You really need some survivalist grimoire to do anything useful, and even then survivalist aren't really the best at damage.

They are lategame monster-skills. The Untolds have a way to get your hands on these.
Only Gunner and Survivalist can really use them since only their skills scale with AGI.

>Sovereigns
>Useless/redundant
Did you not use the circles or something?

I usually use War Magus.
But if you don't do it your Troub is probably the person with the most time to heal, that is probably true.
Does Salve actually heal for a decent amount? With healing scaling with both TEC and VIT Troub is looking a bit suspect there - although they at least have the TP to spam like mad.

Remove deer

So adventurer's can make their way to Japan to hunt deer?
Sounds great, hopefully there are some cute lolis.

Because for most parties that's useless for most encounters and having both troub and princess in the same party is redundant.

I never missed a medic with my salving troubador. Boss/FOE battles can get a bit more dangerous since they can't top top you off in a single move (I think in average my troub healed for 30-40% of a given character's HP) but for regular exploration it works wonder, no matter how much you heal out of battle you will never be returning to town because THEIR TP got spent.

Remove hunters.

idk dude, Link Order 2 + Alchemist made most encounters done by turn 1. Now I agree that Troubs and Sovereigns shouldn't be in a party together. But Sovereigns are a strong buffer, healer, and attacker by themselves. Granted if you have someone in your party that uses Elemental attacks as well.

no

I wanted to run cannon dragoon, debuff reaper, strike cestus, healing herba and buff shaman.

Is this going to be as terrible in the early game as I fear?

How can a team with both tank a healer ever be horrible at early game? You're running the safest kind of party possible.

Seems like I'll be lacking damage big time until I get second names.

You are a bit low on damage so I am more worried about later in the game - but it should still work out.

At least, I am guessing you are running the more offensive shaman? Both shamans are buff focussed...

With Oracle: Dance your Shaman can contribute damage.
And with a Harbinger, Botanist and Pugilist (Reaper, Herbalist and Cestus) you can rely on control if the fights are running long.

So why are the games called Etrian Odyssey

Sure MMD won't look anywhere near as good as your mental image but nothing will unless you reach pro level at either 2D or 3D animation (as well as some extra artistic knowledge about color, lighting and image composition).
MMD sounds like a good compromise, you'll be getting better results within a few months than if you started form scratch at traditional methods methods... or so I assume, since I don't really know how extensive and beginner-friendly MMD's tools and availiable assets are.

Because Atlus USA didn't realize there could be more than one game, like it happens with most Altus games.

The Japanese title translates to "Labyrinth of the World Tree" and since world tree always must be translated to Yggdrasil and Atlus already had a game called Ygdra Labyrinth they named it after Etria, the town the first game takes place in.

I've had flash cs5 for years now so I know how it works, now I only have to figure out how I can keep my motivation up enough to actually finish anything

Not sure if they are intentionally trolling or not.

Also Hailstorm looks like a Elemencer (is that what that spec is called now?) skill.
Didn't they only show base Dragoon skills in the Dragoon one?

God fuck damn it you bunch of nitwicks.

I miss the old translator already.

>earthlain

We need the most shitty names possible.
But we also want something super generic so Celestrians came to be.

MMD is one of the most convoluted tools I've used; everything is so fucking hidden and obscured that it's not even funny. Messing with bones and articulations is a pain in the ass as well.

As someone who doesn't know much about EOV but has played previous iterations, these trailers are pretty poor in my opinion. They explain some of the stuff on-screen, but same with the Dragoon trailer they don't explain other important elements that are on screen. I had no idea what a bunker was until I asked here and that is an actual important mechanic for dragoons. At least show a skill description for stuff shown in the trailer like quick-incantation because both this video and the website don't explain that Warlock's have skills that require a turn to setup, and then you get the benefits on your next one.

I like the idea of class videos but they need to put actual information in them not just two sentences and some really nice music/transitions. It's why I like EOIII's marketing campaign a lot. They went out of there way to explain stuff in terms that can be understood by newbies to the series, as well as veterans.
youtu.be/qM2EUBOjRis

Are these names really that bad though?

You'd think something so widely spread would be kinda easy to use. Funny how popularity works.

Not to mention that it look pretty damn boring especially by all the spectacle games have nowadays.
Showing some skill combinations and proper explanations would go a long way to show what is actually appealing about EO combat.

They kinda are.
As far as races go, I don't give a shit about earthlain (earthrun wasn't better by any measure) and therian is the same.
Celestrian is definitely less cool than lunarian and neither are common names to begin with so I don't understand the change.

The brouni thing is terrible. Either they don't know even the most basic about mythology and folklore, which is sad and casts doubt over the quality of translations, or they're trying to pull off a "i can haz cheezburger" kind of thing, which is awful.

Okay yeah, Brouni is awful.

Why do people say Reapers suck but they appear quite often on Japanese party rec sites

Here's a rare Ricky for you all. Don't take it for granted.

Because people like to overexaggerate and bring "worst" to the level of "barely useable".
By comparison, every other class does their job better than them, but not by enough of a margin to make them suck.
Also, they're worth it just for the portrait

That doesn't explain why they're so frequent on the recs. They appear in a lot of party compositions unlike Warlocks for example which appear in almost none.

Hell if I know, they must be crazy or something. I have seen none of those recs.

www63.atwiki.jp/sekaiju_mazev/pages/88.html

Harbingers are not easy to use with their Miasma Armor and high TP costs for a Earthlain class.
But they have burst, ailments and most importantly they can increase the infliction rate for all ailments and binds of the entire group.
With how strong control in general and combo Pugilist escpecially are this skill alone makes them great for boss kills.

If bosses die fast and can not do all that much high TP costs are not a great concern - but exploration is still not easy for them.

Yeah, a first person turn based RPG doesn't really have the visual wow of console RPG's and even other Handheld RPGs that give you the standard Final Fantasy styled battle maps. Just showing particle effects on a screen doesn't tell me anything worthwhile or impressive. Granted I'm already sold on the game since people here have been saying it largely fixes some things that were bad in EOIII but I don't know how well these trailers will do for people not already invested in the series.

No wonder she got frozen for a millenia.

Whew laddy, what a zinger. Perfect timing, too.

checked

This is the most active this general has been since the 10th anniversary stream

And it's even with my shitty cropped porn OP.

umm doturds?

How should I build my landshrek in untold 1, just chasers?

Chasers are pretty bad.
Just go either sword or axe tree - they don't have that much burst but are hardy.

wait what

Are they using duelist because of that one movie?

>2016

>Either they don't know even the most basic about mythology and folklore

I think they just want to avoid Brownie because a generic fantasy race name would seem extremely out of place when humans, elves, and beastmen have all been given special snowflake names.
