What gear can I go for to try to improve my PvM? I feel like I'm hitting a wall.

Mostly slayer and grinding Gargoyles for money. I want to get into bossing, maybe eventually raids.

Is it worth it to get back into Old School if I've just been playing on /v/scape for the last year on and off to fuel my nostalgia? Not trolling, just seriously asking if it would be better to drop it and just jump onto the Old School train. My biggest concern is just how much longer everything would take due to a lack of a multiplier, and the lack of knowledge about new content. Biggest interest is the announcement of mobile, but, I'm not sure if that's enough to convince me to hop on and pay money for OSRS.

weakness is relative user. either your magic level is retardedly low for your combat or you don't have the combat level task filter on. regardless if you're going to bother with slayer you should at least have upgraded iban staff or enchanted slayer dart if you're really poor.

The magic weakness is a meme if you're using vanilla combat magic spells, if you really wanna mage them you should get a trident, or use slayer dart, or use idans staff or something.

Ranged damage is only inherited from the ammo type right? most of the upgrade from weapons is attack speed or inherited from the weapon if it has some?

consider pushing off slayer until 85 cmb for nieve
get ibans blast upgraded if you want to be prepared for the future, or push off that task until you're higher level

alternatively, broad bolts rune cbow and just accept that this is going to take a while

superiors really aren't that big of a deal, I would save points to use on blocks once you unlock nieve. she and duradel have a very similar task list that is much better than the other masters and you'll want to block some of the things they give like spirituals and cannon tasks like black demons if you don't have a cannon.

Better everywhere is extremely misleading. Torture only gives melee bonuses and has zero defense stats, and also it gives +2 instead of +5 prayer. Keep the fury if you plan to do anything where you use multiple combat styles, need prayer, or take damage.

What you call "expensive shit" I call "worthless trash". If I could go back and retrain my account from scratch with the knowledge I have now I wouldn't use any of that shit you mentioned, and if I did it would be addy or rune arrows minimum. I'd use mithril or addy darts with a cannon on something like rock crabs until 75 then use blowpipe on task and chins on the mm2 monkeys. Maybe pipe in nmz but probably not. Good range xp is expensive and you just have to accept it and stop trying to jew and kike every little thing. The time you could save with those methods makes them more than worthwhile.
