you steering wheel volume control physically turns the volume dial

The dial says I have 1/8th more of a tank of gas if I'm going downhill.

In the winter I can feel cold air coming in through the window switches, the emergency brake, and somewhere in the foot well. Water also leaks in everywhere and there's a puddle on the floor in the back every time it rains.

I forgot to mention, it's been like this since new.

this
also the windshield wipers interval increases slightly when stopped/nearly stopped when on the Intermittent setting.

My exhaust pipe and manifold fell off when off-roading so my exhaust is fucking loud as fuck. Anytime I down shift it crackles and pops despite being a 104 hp 4-cylinder.

My stereo system (previous owner install) is really good, and since I only have a standard cab (ranger) it sounds great and goes loud.

The 'auto-dimming rearview mirror' never used to work, and then one day it magically started working, but I don't know what they mean by dimming because it actually just turns everything green.

my xj has a quick heater. hole in the floor board directly over crack in muffler, heats the cabin in like 2 minutes. shit is cash. cons; makes rattling noise when on throttle. will also eventually die of carbon monoxide poisoning, but fuck it, i love that jeep.

You can turn off the passenger airbag with the ignition key.

pissers to clean the headlights, doubt they'd work that well.

this, also
>car comes with a small toolkit in the trunk with every size wrench i would need
>window switches work without the key in the car if the door wasnt opened after being shut off so you can roll the windows up
>the clock/odo display can be switched to a number of different informational screens
>car checks periodically to make sure the turn signals, headlights, and taillights are not out and reports outages on the dashboard

Spreeeeeeeee tff tff tff Dat fiddly doo be peein out all kinds of hotdogs on de blinkees so pee away like a rum pa pum bum bum! Gonna wash up de blinkee with pee! Pee! Pee!

It has a fake cd slot on the dash, the real one is in the glove box

My g35 has a shift up light you can enable and set at any rpm. Also has valet mode and antitheft where the mph and rpm is extremely limited but those are aftermarket. Also has a good drug storage areas

>FiST
The center stack cubby is utterly useless and doesn't hold anything. Too small for phone or sunglasses, too shallow for a wallet, and coins slide out.

Can read obd2 codes straight off the dash

I can open or close all windows simultaneously with the remote, probably not that unique feature but pretty useful sometimes.

My car came equipped with a first aid kit from the factory

You can roll the drivers window up and down with the key fob to get inside easier (frameless doors). Its a cool party trick and sometimes really fucking usefull when Stacy parks her CUV and inch beside you.

If I forget to close the fuel door I can just reach from the drivers seat.

'99 taurus sho
>3.4L transverse v8
>Camshaft is hollow tubes with lobes glued on
>Autobahn wiper attachment was a factory standard option
>Tires same width as new mustang (235)
'97 hardbody
>Cant lock doors from outside
>Door can open half an inch even when locked
>3 (three) different Nissan badges on the tailgate

Dodge intrepids have a removable plug on the bottom of the gas tank to drain it. Use this info wisely.

its main feature is that it lacks a jew-nosed shithead who couldn't review his way out of a wet paper bag.

I'd love to get a Mito QV as my next car but I'm a poorfag so I can only afford the Punto 1.4T right now

no
its probably the most normal car you can buy

>2015 Ford Falcon

It's a 4 litre straight 6, but other than that it's probably the most sober and mundane sedan that ever sedan'd

Fuck the qv, get the 155 PS version. Its literally two times cheaper and more often in better condition. Also a lot cheaper in repairs and maintenance. I got mine for 4k with 90k miles in great condition, while the cheapest qv from the same year was 6-7k.

My retractable antana not only works but changes sound depending on the temperature

I have a 2017 for focus rs, the only thing I hate about the car is that it doesn’t have a dome light switch in the front, you have to reach into the back right above the back seat to turn the rear lights on. It’s extremely annoying since I have a young child at home and it’s a huge pain in the ass. Oh and the auto stop start feature makes me want to kill my self every time it shuts off the engine at random. Otherwise it’s a great car

Car has manual locks, but the driver's side cannot be pushed down if the door is open.

Same

My cruise control is a huge device in the engine bay that mechanically pulls on the throttle cable and mechanical throttle. First time i turned it on i almost shat my pants when the pedal started moving on its own.

1992 Camry

Literally none.
>tfw toyota

isn't that how all cruise control works on cars with physical throttle cables?

>rear seats are completely removable
>front passenger seat folds flat (can have a 9 ft kayak inside and still slide the hatch)
>multiposition shelf in the cargo area that can be used as a table outside the car
>small lights under the radio/hvac stack to light up cup holders and coin holders
>passenger seat has a hard plastic back with small divots to hold pens/pencils so it can be used as a work desk
>sun visors have CD caddy’s built in
>glovebox has small holders labeled ‘pen’, ‘tire guage’, and ‘lug tool’
>storage drawer under passenger seat with slots for CD cases and cassettes
>in-dash 6 CD changer (in 2003!)

CD player is in the trunk, but it can only be opened with a button on the passenger side dash. There is also a cassete tape player square middle in the dash. This car was made in 1998

>CD player is in the trunk
who thought that made sense at all?

The crankshaft bearings are fucked but since I can't afford to fix it I'm just driving it anyway

>in-dash 6 CD changer (in 2003!)
HAHAHAHA my mum's 2000 Yaris has that feature, it's even a single-DIN unit. Hell, Alpine sold single-DIN 3 CD changer radios in the early 90's. Get fucked mate.

i had a toyota 4k that spun a bearing

i drove it to work for another 3 months before the engine seized

Porsche?
My car has the same setup

Eat shit, cunt.

115v ac power outlet and two cigarette lighter plugs

Yeah, but mine was a standard equipped feature. I’m not saying it is innovative or anything, but it’s unique. Also

>high-end speakers and a factory 10” Kicker subwoofer

:^)
youtu.be/1nZCyuzo_8c

yeah, doug is too much of a fag to keep one running

Upon ending the wipe cycle, the windshield wipers will fall down and then shift down one more inch. Focus ST.

>Oh and the auto stop start feature makes me want to kill my self every time it shuts off the engine at random.
You know you can disable that, right?

RCR, plz no bully

If my car overheats it will shut down to four cylinders and alternate which four fire every 2500 rpm. Only had it happen once, popped the serpentine belt miles off road while camping.

NorthStar V8?

I have a car phone antenna.

98 ls1 fbody. I don't know if the other years do it, 98 cars were... different.

Audi a4 b5

>2003 Nissan Pathfinder LE

Front seat slides forward enough to have the back folded down level with the rear seats so that you basically get lounge chairs fit for a camping trip

Cassette deck will read one side and then the other (you can hear the music real dim in the background) but it won't play after a second and then spits it back out at you. Bose head unit (side note, how fix?)

Cassettes in 2003??

Has a noise that is possibly engine pinging in 3rd around 1900 rpm but only at one specific speed and then it's gone

Broken exhaust mount rattles when in drive but not park and sounds terrible.

Leaks power steering fluid all over the driveway but the reservoir never seems to have any missing

Rear cargo net by the back door can be moved up behind the back seat almost like a cop car cage (maybe to keep shit in the back in a wreck or for a dog?)

Has place to put a sliding cover on the cargo area but nobody seems to sell a cover that fits it (I want this!!! To cover my tools in the back)

Spare is the same rim that's all around the car

Park brake light comes on and stays on if brake fluid level is too low

Middle and cargo area lights can be set to turn on when a door is open but not the front map lights

>1997 Tahoe
Engine seized and overheated. Came back later runs perfect actually better than ever

Engine knock at 30k miles. Said we'd be lucky to get 60k total. She's almost to 300k with no giant repairs

Chipped planetary gear sounds like a shitty supercharger

Has 8 cupholders for 4 seats

Ashtrays in rear

I love both of them to death though.

>Leaks power steering fluid all over the driveway but the reservoir never seems to have any missing

My car does this too. I’m not that upset tho since it’s basically giving me free undercoating.

Lemme guess, a PT Cruiser?

My driver's side electric window cable snapped, so I took the mechanism out but then the window fell into the door.

So I got an old suction cup from a sat nav, and use that at the bottom of the window to set the height.

Coming up to a ticket booth, hold window with hand, remove suction cup, slide window down to appropriate level, reapply suction cup, receive ticket.

It's been like this for a year and a half. Fuckers ain't getting 150 for a new regulator.

The keys to a mk1 Miata and a mk2 Miata are quite simillar.

So when I locked the keys in my mk1 Miata, the door lock on it is 24 years old and tired, so I managed to use my mk2 key with some jiggling to get the door open.

It can drive on electricity for 25-50 miles without using its gas engine.

probably not a good sign of their trust in the cars safety

My car is a good news bringer.

I had one with a unique quirk - whenever I used the brake pedal the indicators, dashboard and headlights would blow the fuck up, as well as the DNA switch, leaving no weight in the steering

The DNA switch? Are you from the future?

When it rains I get a nice refreshing drop of water down my sleeve every so often.

>american sedan from the 80's
>no cup holders
>only 3 ashtrays

Oh god why did you buy that car

It has a removeable picnic table as the floor of the trunk

Thanks honda

Because of that feeling when the VVC really opens the valves up at around 4000 rpm.

same with every convertible escort

I have a little screen that tells me what point of the torque and hp curve i am at when accelerating. Also has a g meter.

...you haven't driven many other cars have you.

>escort
what

It was Alfa's shitty drive mode selector on the Mito, not some Sci-fi gene splicing technology

This is my other car.

Interesting quirk: when I turn on the lights I magically gain about another 1/8th tank of fuel.

Okay so if you have such good taste with that car, why on earth would you buy a TF?

>Literally none.

Other than the fact that a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Toyota Camry share almost all interior parts

Why would you need different drive modes in a damn Mito?

They're fun. Cheap to buy, economical if driving sensibly, still well powered for a 1.8 normally aspirated engine and will beat the crap out of a new MX5. Put a proper head gasket in and don't rag it when it's cold and it's fine.

>also the windshield wipers interval increases slightly when stopped/nearly stopped when on the Intermittent setting.
With the wipers on constant mode, they drop down a level when stationery.
Fast wipe drops down to normal wipe.
Normal wipe drops down to intermittent until you pull away.
It's really sensitive too, 0 throttle input just come off the brakes on a downhill and its back.

I thought my electrics were on the fritz the first day I needed full wipers until I noticed the correlation.

>Beat the crap out of a new MX5

Fucking LOL

They're underpowered, heavier, front wheel drive, unbalanced, and fucking hideous

It wouldn't be a QUIRK if it didn't make sense

>front wheel drive

lol

TFs are mid engined, rear wheel drive. Also smaller engine but same power and it's faster. Nice try tho m8.

There was Normal, All-weather which made the throttle less responsive and ramped up the TC and Dynamic, which was better throttle response and weighted steering
>Dynamic
>Normal
>Active
>DNA
None of them were much good, and they changed the, too. You couldn't have a speed readout in normal, only the analogue speedo

But why when anyone is talking about amazing cheap and fun cars, do they never ever ever get mentioned? and I don't mean normies, I mean proper car guys, no-one says a damn word about them ever.

Don't tell me they're some undiscovered gem, they've been around for a long time.

It's cause they're boring as shit and ugly to boot, you need to expand your car experience man.

They got a bad rep because of the head gasket problems, and the company's been dead for 10+ years.
I don't really give a toss if "proper car guy" don't say a damn word about them, I think they're fun. And I don't think they're ugly. So I bought one.

The Stag on the other hand has a pretty awful engine, but it's still fun as fuck.

Rear windshield wiper has a 15% chance of activating at max speed when I shift in reverse

Fun feature #2
There's an inertia sensor in the front designed to cut the fuel pump if the car flips, but sometimes it'll trip if you go over a pothole meaning you have to get out and reset it.

the engine is so weak you have to focus on staying in powerband during normal driving and the heated seats are so hot you have to turn them off after a minute if you don't want to hurt yourself

>Miles offroad
>fbody
But how?

Same way as anything else I suppose. Maybe I'm the only one that does rally weekends though.

my spare tire well can be a swimming pool when it rains

Hey Justin
This just in
Yo girl JUSTin'

Pieces of the interior spontaneously disintegrate

>3 guesses what brand car it is

Car itself is a quirk
AM/FM/CD and nothing else being a 2013
Has 2 speakers in total, one in each front door
Rear speaker slots are filled with foam by factory
6 speed stick

Dodge
Chrysler
Plymouth

Gonna go with my first car ('86 Volvo 240)

>had a cool vent in the drivers side foot well that funneled in fresh air
>seats are super adjustable despite being all manual
>can fit 2 full size spares in the already massive trunk without sacrificing any usable space
And specific to mine
>will only start without hesitation or trouble when it's below freezing out
>randomly loses fluids but will retain them when added back in (brake fluid was the scariest)

Yah.

2011 mazda 3. Cant open hatch unless all 4 doors are unlocked. Cant open hatch when 4 doors are unlocked and engine is on but car isnt moving. Hatch actuator is electronic so you need to open and open it quickly before the actuator shits again

Car is an 03 and it had a household style outlet in the back, heated seats with adjustable lumbar, automatic climate control with vents in the back, seat memory and will also save the position of the mirrors, programmable garage door opener built into the visor, automatic wipers, lcd display in the dash, and automatic headlights.

Car was like 30k back in 03 but I picked it up for 5k

Ignore the dent by the headlight, rock on the freeway. Gonna get it fixed soon

Image familiar is my 03 avalon

my car has a credit card holder
