what I mean is like.. for example, the second passive for Necro got moved into a new skill it's still there.. it functions the same it still makes him.. him but it was changed. They'll nerf it a little and add a new ability to it.. if you pay attention Dota is trying to move away from skills that are purely passive.. like LoL. Tristan has a passive on her E that makes creeps explode on death or it can be used as a press click ability that places a bomb on the enemy if she hits the enemy the bomb get stronger and finally explodes. I'm not 100% sure but I do believe that used to just be a passive.. her autos would explode creeps on kill.

but i feel like if aftershock is consilidated into another skill like sadist was that skill becomes simply too good, assuming that the main trait of aftershock (additional stun and damage around ES when he uses abilities) is still intact and not shit.

one thing that i think they could change is that they could make aftershock much larger in effect and make his e a smaller echo slam that's localized and on a longer cooldown. but i am pretty sure most players would rage at that.

still though, i could see aftershock becoming a passive part of enchant totem or something.
