The taser glove
A glove outfitted with insulated electrodes (sorta like snow tires in a way)
The police already wear gloves so they don't have to touch disgusting people or needles and shit. Plus pulling a taser takes too long when you can just grab that person by the arm or touch them anywhere really and them instantly drop instead of pulling and aiming a taser

Cops use weapons to apprehend people when they are a threat. They aren't going to get within arms distance to a man with a knife. They will however use non-lethal force from a distance to disable a suspect. Do you ever see cops use the taser that doesn't shoot? No.

This is a terrible idea. The point of a taser is incapacitation from a distance. And using the thing seems impractical. No PD's counsel will ever want them risking the accidental tase from misusing the glove.
Besides, drawing a weapon is a very quick and fluid act. You're not saving time. Cops would rather do a takedown at that distance then anything else. Best use I could even think of is a corrections officer, but the PR backlash would be catastrophic.

It's a kinda nice idea but you're not gonna get bucketloads of money from police depts.
If civic safety is your line of thought, maybe you could come up with something that a civilian can use to show a police that they're willing to cooperate and are unarmed and don't want to be shot. Maybe try to introduce a handcuffs for civilians so that people can handcuff themselves so they don't get shot by polices. Then you sell handcuffs to the public and get rich
This is definitely possible, everyone responding to you seems to know little about how tasers work.
First off you'd need to touch the assailant with both hands, the electricity needs two points of contact to seize up the nervous system, hence why actual tasers work but those stun guns you buy at the flea market are shit.
Also those saying it would be useless are retarded, there are often non life threatening up close situations, such as someone physically resisting arrest without a weapon which is far more common than any knife attack these LARPers like to imagine.
If someone pulls a knife on a cop, the cop pulls their gun. Escalation of force is a thing.
Currently the way to submit someone to stop resisting is just beating them, so this could work.
