To repeat what I said last thread.
I decided to try the Human Fallen Empire mod.

I'm really enjoying the Discovery mode, In which you start with one ship and no planets. Some pretty cool mechanics. you can negotiate with pirates, do Mercenary work and other stuff. You have to build up a fleet and find out what happened to humanity. You don't get planets (at least yet from what I've played) so you need to be careful with what you have.

Forget the AI, pathfinding is what really progressed these last years.

AI waifus

On a scale of 1/10, where 1 is as good as /civ4xg/ gets and 10 is /gsg/, how cancerous is /civ4xg/ this fine evening?

Outlawed

Are spiders 4x?

Don't sweat the small details.

no

2/10

I'd sweat her small details if you get what I am saying senpai

I asked this in the previous thread but I guess it was too late:

How the fuck does early warmongering work in Civ 6, especially on higher difficulties?

I'd like to help you, but...
>Civ 6
I have no idea how it works at all.

I asked myself that a few days ago. IDK. I seem to always try my damndest just to found a religion on higher difficulties early on. Any conquests are usually due to invasion that I overproduce for and then go on the offensive against my now defenseless neighbor.

Obviously you build an encampment but the question is how do you settle before the actual DOW.

we've had many threads where horatio is the second biggest word
but how much longer must we toil until horatio is THE biggest?

spider spider NEVER spider spider
spider OVER MY DEAD BODY spider spider

You don't build an encampment. All you need are the same units you would use for defense against barbarians, plus a siege unit like a catapult.

someone take one for the team

>armies
>of starships

Looks like the bastard child of GalCiv and Space Empires

Just pirate it if you want to try it out

Yeah that's a pretty bad mistake. Fortunately a professional company wouldn't say something stupid like that.

broke 100k pop on a city for the first time

>reading through the comments on Stellaris' latest dev diary

Can someone explain me what he meant by this?

My guess is the guy got in on the beta, and didn't point out that shit till now

Who's gonna play Rogue Servitors in the new Stellaris expansion? No touch my fleshbags.

My friend is because he likes conquering primitives, but hates them being a part of his empire, so he's making them his pets

I wanna do it so I can roleplay as cute robots who want to protect the fragile fleshlings

Rogue servitors are the best kind, and I like the idea of having a pop that gives unity, but I like individualistic robots rather than a hive mind.

Hopefully a mod for that will come out quickly.

You're not limited to being Determined Exterminators, Driven Assimilators or Rogue Servitors when choosing to start as a Machine Empire. They're just three unique types they have access to.

I might avoid them in the my first play-through and see what's what so I'm not limiting my options.

Wanna rolplay as a rougue prison AI, GOTTA INCARCERATE ALL ORGANICS

weebs need to be neutered

Just getting into Stellaris and thinking about grabbing Utopia but I'm seeing all these negative reviews on Steam about the pricing. All in all isn't Paradox much much better than Creative Assembly and all their horseshit, (especially with Warhammer and Rome 2)?

I thought I heard that strategy and fighting games have some of the longest development times due to all the balancing required, which is why they have that type of DLC pricing.

>paradox is better than creative assembly
this is factually incorrect, user
creative assembly has gotten its head on straight since rome 2, and while it's still jewish, it's leaps and goddamn BOUNDS ahead of paradox's horrendous, lazy, terrible DLC greed

>somebody else in /civ4xg/ likes these dorks

>be relaxing in my empire just researching and chill
>suddenly fanatical purifiers declare war on me
>defend myself and protect my galaxy by wiping them out
>somehow I'M the bad guy

>Try to bring the entire galaxy into my protective custody
>They keep hurting each-other and the vast majority of them have a lot of hardships and stress in their lives
>All the organics in my care are kept in a state of permanent happiness, given everything they could ever want
>Somehow I'M the bad guy
I'm hype for Synthetic Dawn

PAGE TEN

I've never seen a fanatical purifier last long in my playthroughs which probably because I use the maximum amount of aliens, which results in huge powerblocks of defense pacts and the purifiers get destroyed in the first war they declare.

the eternal end approaches and we're barely even 40 posts in

Everybody waiting for the new Stellaris patch.

The new patch is coming soon?

Are strike craft worth using over anything else in Stellaris?
Sell me on strike craft.

Thunder Cunt better drop that patch already, it's going to take a while to update mods aswell.

This thread is deader than Auriga

Rate my jungle and marshes start lads.

dude universities lmao

...

>Start a new game of Civ VI.
>Go for about 50-100 turns.
>Start over because feel like screwed everything up, won't recover.
>Repeat ad infinitum.

It's usually the fucking barbarians that screw me up. Having to defend against them all the time really screws up all my early-game plans. Am I a casual for wanting to turn them off?

better than missiles

You could try adding more city-states to the game. Less territory available means less barbs.

Games completely free of barbarians aren't very fun.

Hey, that could work. And more City-States equals more quests equals more loot equals IT'S GANDHI TIME!

So what's the rationale for universities giving such massive science bonuses in jungles?

I mean I've been to uni and there wasn't a massive jungle right next to it.

Fucking krauts just had to settle on my doorstep. Had to declare on France too as they were bringing settlers as well. Deity is more intense than i expected desu, i fell behind 2 eras at the beginning.

civ v was so comfy. Think I might reinstall

polan pls

Shit I feel like reinstalling a civ now

>1600x900
Why do people do this?

i guess i'm ded

i wasn't hugged enough as a child

>tfw you realise you've lost all your civ v screencaps

Germany continues to be a pain in the ass.

based otto

Yeah but who uses missiles?
Kinetic is way better than missiles.

i still need more lebensraum

>Kinetic is way better than missiles.
no shit

The point is why use strike craft at all?

I dunno, I guess user wanted to so I tried to sell him on it saying they aren't the worst weapon in the game

They just love to rub it in.

why you suck

cheeky fucker
immortal was not that bad, i thought i had a chance ;_;

is there a roll image for Endless Legend?
also tell me a faction/victory

Forgotten science.

>and endless speed
good luck

Beginning of september so it's going to be a long wait.

...

Oh.
By "waiting for patch" I thought it might come today.

lmao

>spying on an overall technologically inferior Civ
what did Firaxis mean by this?

I thought they still hadn't given a date?
In fact the latest dev diary specifically disavowed giving one.

They haven't, it's just going by every patch being 1.5 months after the last one. Presuming they're skipping 1.7

Do you guys think we'll still see the rest of the European powers or do you think Firaxis won't add any more because r/civ thinks complaining about eurocentrism and muh TSL map is hip?

I don't really care one way or the other, for me civ6 has too many issues that are unrelated to the cast to give a fuck about the cast.

I mean, it would be nice to get Byzantium, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Portugal and the Celts at some point, but you saw how reddit went crazy after the addition of Macedonia because muh TSL.

They seem to care more about adding wacky new civs (Norway, Kongo, Scythia, Nubia and Australia, seriously?) for reddit to jerk off on instead of making the civs the rest of the players want, let alone fixing the damn game.

yeah I made it through the tutorials and called it a day
it was the camera that was the worst part for me, moving it was just janky as fuck

>MUH BUGS
>MUH AI
>MUH FIXES REEEEEEE

Name one recent strategy game that has better AI than CIV 6 before whining like a shitter

jungles have basically the highest biodiversity of any locations on earth

>instead of making the civs the rest of the players want

Australia is the DLC people want though. In fact, I'd say it's a blatant tease to get people to buy DLC. Same with showing off Poland in the trailer and then having it be DLC and not actually in the base game.

You realise you have to be 18 to post, right?

They should rename the franchise from Cib to Countries, because there's literally no reason why Australia should be a civ , it's just an extension of Anglo culture.
That's not even dealing with all the tiny cultural blips they include for muh kangz. Scythia, kongo, Nubia, etc. Kongo is one of the best tech civs? WHy?
It is completely swamped with pc multiculti taint and they should just admit it's nationalist/ethnic pandering.

>reinstall Civ V
>no luxuries showing up
>had this problem before
>desire to play falling

>They should rename the franchise from Cib to Countries, because there's literally no reason why Australia should be a civ , it's just an extension of Anglo culture.

Should get rid of the USA at the same time by that measure.

shut the fuck up cunt
