First for we wardens and we rowdy

Wadren's fight for freedom

Colonials not welcome!

what is your favorite weapon? Mine is rifle grenades

I like the hammer

bump

we're in baker 1 squad oboe 2
Join memes in discord

able 2 will end soon. Wardens have no chance

gonna show some colonialist women my gun

I never got an answer in last thread so trying again.

Have anyone tried to play on US server while being in Yuro or vice versa? Is lag a big issue? I know for sure I can't play fps games with friends. Even goddamn Dota is a problem. I just wonder if everyone will fucking rubberband on my screen all the time if I get the game.

idk but i see a lot of foreigners on the u.s servers

I just got gifted this game, anything I need to know for playing with the rest of /foxg/?

That helps me a bit. Thanks. I'll get it today and see what's up. Will report later on.

Grab a rifle and a bit of ammo and just work alongside a group. Or you can try your hand at being an autistic gatherer, but usually those roles are oddly well supplied

so what's the best use for sulphur anyways

Lategame it feels like the only thing preventing pushes is not having enough emats to blow up all the AI defenses, and people wasting it on random stupid shit.

Also people never build enough binoculars.

Useful artillery would be my guess and tanks

Was anyone on Charlie4? I had my first leadership experience.

I realized you can scale the little ridge next to Cal's boot (as warden) and led some privates up there to lay fire around a wall the enemy was hiding behind, in that town left of steppes. They didn't stand a fucking chance, high ground advantage is incredibly real.

They rolled in with 3 tanks and I realized our force below us was fucked, so I gathered everyone up and we ran into the forest to the NW. After that, we resupplied at plaza and became a guerrilla force of sorts afterwards, hitting the enemy in weird places and stealing their shit.

As of right now, we formalized the squad (Non-44 I think) and we were positioned on those cliffs again, making sure NO infantry could leave their foothold and rush belt. It was fucking nuts, we were mowing dudes down left and right. Even sent dudes for supply jogs to belt and home base and had some dude spotting with binos. The effectiveness of a coordinated squad is fucking insane, we locked down the entire road outside of stepps, 5 guys vs. >30. This game gets my teamwork dick rock hard, those guys were the best mates ever.

I'm having a hell of a time getting it to work. It's F to switch to it, then R to load it? I've been boned by guys getting good positioning with that thing, it's godlike when used properly.

Forgot to mention, before all that we had a cease-fire at Plaza with an enemy squad in over their head and had a boxing match to determine if they'd fuck off. I was 3-0 and they did lmao

is there as latinoamerican player here? how is the lag and shit? it is playable?

hear me out. Oil is the only material you should check into HQ. That way people cant steal it. And you only should be grabbing 10 or 20 at a time anyways

>tfw you caved in and bought another early access game

Fuck my life.

i dunno man. it has tiny skips and I'm east coast burger. I'd figure it's a lot worse down in the tacolands.

>he fell for the early access is automatically bad meme

>oil is the most useless and plentiful resource

I specifically joined Colonials on Able2 because the past few threads were full of Warden shitters getting their shit pushed in.

So this game still needs

>sniper rifles
>flamethrowers
>bayonets/sabers
>machine pistols
>medium/heavy/superheavy tanks
>horses
>boats

Am I missing anything?

planes? and everything that comes with it

>superheavy tanks
Baneblades?

>Tank Machine guns - Coaxial and hull (Driver)
make it inaccurate, like the Tank MG's can't aim at specific infantry for crap, but only lay down area fire - i.e. a beaten zone

>A Proper LMG - the Storm rifle is a late game Rifle/SMG replacer - give us a 50 round LMG that sucks unless used prone or behind cover
>Medium MG - can be carried by one man and dragged around but to best funtion needs 2

>Make the Heavy MG a crew served weapon - make it so it breaks down into 3 heavy parts to be reassembled - can only be dragged by 2 men

>Light mortar - something like old school to cold war British 51mm mortars or modern light 60mm mortars

>A specialized truck that can lay minefields - a dispenses 1 AT mine for every 3 AP mines

>A proper Armored Halftrack personnel carrier - capable of transporting 8-10 men. Turn the current halftrack into a scout car/halftrack - give it a 14.5mm MG and ideally 2-3 more passengers to transport scout teams or specialists like builders/scrappers/arty around the front

>A Jeep

>Towable Arty and Artillery prime movers - light arty can be towed by Truck or Jeep, heavy arty and mortars require a tracked prime mover (Which also transports ammo and the gun crew and can double duty as a semi armored APC

Well in terms of effort ---> use it's the easiest one to farm, with high output and fast respawn rates. It's not useless, though.

Holy shit, imagine leading a supply truck raid party in a match with mines
>trekking through forest with ~5 guys
>BOOM, body goes flying
>a chorus of people shouting "Mines! Mines!" And stopping in their tracks
>sending one guy to move forward with the team following his footsteps to escape alive

>crash
>50 queue
Fucking sick of this.

Sniper rifles need some heavy limits to discourage shittery. Maybe limit its visibility to necessitate a spotter role, so only humans capable of communicating and teamwork can use it, like a mortar or howitzer.

I'd like a cart or something to help with weapon recovery, shit is a pain to do with such limited space. And trucks are too valuable to risk using for this.

Thats why a mine dispenser either as a towed trailer or a specialized truck would be amazing.
It would be expensive, speed sensitive (moving too fast while dispensing disperses the mines too far apart, and a large scale explosion hazard if caught by enemy fire/ambushed - but it makes minefields, real minefiends a reality and necessitates combat engineers, mine detectors and Engineering vehicles (Think mine flails/Dozers. An extra caveat would be allowing engineers to deploy an Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge instantly or to build a large pontoon bridge, as well as having access to combat engineer tanks with demolition guns designed to K/O enemy emplacements/bunkers/defenses

3 types of dispensed mines in order of increasing cost
-Small diameter mines - toe poppers/frag mines with small radius
Anti -Tank mines
-Bouncing betties that can rip an entire squad in half in a 15m radius

I agree with all of this except
>sniper rifles
The second the devs add this to this game, all the COD kiddies and their mothers will be sniping the entire game. Chat will be filled with them screaming to logi, "we NEED MORE SNIPERS at crows !! "

There would have to be some insane limits on it to prevent dumb mute assholes from trying for montages.

I think a bayonet charge would be a weird hint to implement. Maybe make the speed when doing one the same as normal movement speed even when shot, and damage taken is still the same? You would have to limit left and right movement during the charge, as well as ensure the teammates to the left and right don't get killed via hitbox...

kys

>Using a Wrench will unlock a truck that was locked by a player

I play from Mexico and it seems perfectly fine. This is not exactly high impact gameplay here.

Mines used to be in the game, but were so fucking annoying that they got removed. I imagine if a sulfur requirement was added it might be less frustrating. Trying to get infantry to correctly search for mines was hell on earth.

>when your shitty team can't push, there are tanks at your door, and you're down 10 players
>but it doesn't matter because you're bringing in boatloads of guns and explosives around the clock
logistics master race

>see a russian dude camping by a sulfur deposit
>think nothing of it
>an hour later he's still there doing nothing
>decide to check his truck
>come back with a wrench a while later
>HIS WHOLE FUCKING TRUCK IS FILLED WITH SULFUR

It would be complete garbage and mostly just a flavour thing or as an absolute last resort

Is running logistics/mining the most unsatisfactory thing ever?

You get more commends yeah, but if you play a builder or some soldier you can atleast log in after some days and see the outpost you helped taking be all fortified

this is not okay

It's not. Sucha fucking wate of resources.

>warden on baker 6 getting pushed back
>colonial shitters are getting cocky
>rush our freshly constructed outpost with their armor
>30 minutes later they are down 4 tanks (one of which was captured), 2 half-tracks and they lost the nearest town

what are shirts?

baka.. f*cking white people man..

really i gatherer is never commended people dont see him he is the ninja that fuel the holy trinity of gatherer, non trump builders, logistics. they litterally play hours in a dank hole no one know what he really did

It's fun if you do everything yourself, even if it's less efficient.

Mining scrap, turning it into the refinery, asking for what supplies are needed where or checking them yourself, and defending your supply lines with fortifications.

>lone builders using up all the sulphur to put mines in random places
I dunno, mines sound cool but at I don't get killed by randomly placed foxholes.

>what wee need people that have given up to take useful guns use a bayonet and lose em all for a last hoorah charge kamikaze

can someone explain why we have bikes? Everytime I see one I want to blow it up, it has no gun so it is fucking useless

A game is not always improved by adding more complexity, especially when most of these roles are already filled by existing equipment/vehicles. It'd be like trying to think up of new moves that individual chesspieces can do.
Remember, perfection is not the addition of qualities, it is the absence of flaws. Especially when balancing a PvP game.

>can someone explain why we have bikes?
Well someone needs to use up all the fuel in the base, otherwise we might suffer from inflation and devaluation.

>able 2
>new game
>1st truck built
> 2nd truck buuuuuuuuuuiii nope bike built

mother fucker

>maybe it can move less supplies fast,
nope

>bike blocks steppes bridge to resupply brine
remove bikes!!!

They could do concussive mines instead.

Driving over them just stuns the truck/tank/whatever and just annoys the shit out of infantry rather than being a real threat. The real threat comes out when you roll over them and then infantry burst out of the bushes with HE nades and SMGs.

>tanks only have a range of 40m
>the commander using binoculars is useless since gunner can just see that range

The binocs are to let you see AT guns before they can shoot you.

Until we get Jeeps, they're okay for gank squads.

man these pajeets are fucking useless but they are funny as fuck

>it's a foxhole in the middle of the road episode
>it's a 4 tanks but no shells episode
>it's a two dozen trucks parked at one outpost rerun
>it's a materials stockpiled at TH episode

The devs said bikes are for recon.

respawn tickets

>still drives ridiculously slowly off-road

Bikes are just bad.

>two dozen trucks parked
>and they're all locked

>walk past the same truck like 5 times
>decide to blow it up to see what's in it
>tech parts and bmats

>yfw wrenches open locked trucks

WAIT

do they?

>it's a soldier standing next to you throws his HE at a wall episode
>it's a tech parts spread between both weapons factories episode
>it's an outpost screams constantly for soldier supplies but doesn't bother taking medical items episode

Yes, simple as crouching next to the door and waiting for 6 seconds. Don't be a cunt with it, though, use it on trucks you know haven't been used in a while.

is there anything cringier than roleplayers

>He never played classic book&paper rpg games.
It's not if you are doing it right and has the platform to do it right.

Not sure if Foxhole would be such platform though.

>mfw flanking people
They never fucking watch their back

>notice vehicles sitting there for an hour
>grab a wrench and unlock them all
>tell spawn that there's free vehicles to use for the war

Fuck people that lock and leave.

Meanwhile there's always fuckers who stole the shit you're using right now. Or like
>i'm only taking somz mats !
>watch the inventory
>half my shit is gone
I'm no commie fucking niggers

I realise that finding the wiki is pretty difficult but don't worry, I got the link for you to help.
foxhole.gamepedia.com/Wrench
However we can't do this for you forever, if you'd like to learn how the game works then spending 20 minutes looking through the wiki would probably help but if that's too difficult we'll understand. Reading is hard.

>out of pistol ammo after disabling a field gun
>legging it away, but get intercepted by a guy with a carbine
>he empties his clip at me but can't hit shit
>tell him to stop, since I'm out of ammo, and it wouldn't be a fair fight
>helpfully obliges, starts talking about taking me prisoner
>drop him with the last shell in a shotgun I just found in a pack

Game fun.

The issue is that if I log in to my truck then I can get straight back to gathering and driving. But if I haven't got a truck waiting for me then I need to find the bmats and fuel to make another one.
Sometimes there are bmats and fuel left around for this purpose but mostly people just use them all up and then leave. I've tried keeping the boxes filled to help but they just get emptied immediately and never refilled. Trying to fatwalk bmats and fuel into a truck every time I log back in is kind of a pain in the arse, I'd rather have a truck somewhere out of the way when I'm not around.

How do you guys feel about reporting loot found? Say if I scavenge a few packs, and find some HE nades, or a first aid kit that I don't want to take myself, should I let it be known over voice chat, or is that too much of a distraction for not enough gain?

Wardens are by far the least aesthetic faction, it's no wonder it's the chosen faction of Veeky Forums.

>Always do the opposite of what Veeky Forums says has never been truer

wardens are reddit

Every user I've played with have been Colonial.

Wardens are leftist commie scum that have subverted the state, Colonials fight for freereich und faderland

Last thread was chock full of Able 2 warden street shitters. Must have been reddit cancer.
So fucking satisfying crushing them for the freereich

This game seems interesting but how do tanks work? Is it a one person thing or do you need a crew?

Crew

Wardens are /ourguys/. Where the fuck did you FUCKING colonials come from?

Bikes are for patrols. Jeeps will be for recon

The warden hater is a discord shill that is butt hurt we told him to gtfo

>there's a 100+ shirts sitting in HQ

kys autismo cuck

can I get some intel on able 2. played until 3am last night. Playing on a freshmap is a lot of fun. I was working logistics and building fortifying abses

I played for wars and each time the wardens got steamrolled. Coincidence?

>colonials can't even spell correctly

Why am I not surprised.
