Actually, word on street is that Katsuragi/Hikage, Daidouji/Rin, and Ikaruga/Yomi are the three main pairs leading the frontal assault in 7even. Apparently the four leaders have some catching up to so in the short, and other pairs like Yagyu/Hibari and Miyabi/Imu will be getting some pretty deep developments.

Or in other words, they will job to unlock the hidden potential of the four leaders
