My LOD factor is set 2 to 2.5 depending on how heavily populated the area is (there is no reason to go above 2.5 ever), while the cache is set to 4096 mb.

That's an issue on the creator's side, uploading garbage LODs because they did not bother to reduce the vertex count with no effect in visual quality. These people also use 1024x1024 textures for everything, including pure white and pure blank textures. So we end up with things like a single boot that have a draw weight of 200k.

All of my avatars are of 18+ years of age and withing range of a woman's average height. I do go to that cafe, I do SLex anything that can type a complete sentence, but I'm not foolish enough to share my name here.

SL content creators being bad for a variety of reasons is no revelation but pretty much any modern PC should be able to run SL with max complexity for mesh LODs.
