You're right, there is nothing wrong with the concept of electric cars. I'm happy they exist, so other people can enjoy them and use less fuel. They're just not for me, as I prefer cars that are fun to drive in more than just a straight line, have manual transmissions, and aren't pigfat.

All of your requirements are possible with EVs, they just come with other compromises. Don't judge the BEV as a concept based on the shit Tesla make.

and this is why gas will never be an insane price in our lifetime

people that don't care will adopt electrics and lower demand
people that do will take advantage of the massive infrastructure and reduced demand
at least for now, the next generation of Veeky Forums will likely have to deal with the consequences of self driving and electrics
