I'll drop a couple to start off
>tfw no B4C camaro

I found the less cool cousin

VW van hot pursuit

I've always liked the Diplomats/Gran Furies of the late 70s/80s. Sure, there's no 440 V8 like the older Monacos, but just look at that scowl, man.
...
I'made taking crim just classes and ashe'd retired cop teacher his favorite car and he said the Plymouths were great. Another cop told me howhat much everyone hates the new impalas with the fwd.
Also these newest chargers have a nice scowl too, the older ones look goofy.
>dodge late model
>third world country
>oldschool police paint
>thank u for your cervix on the roof
context for fucks sake user
Bonus in statie colors, don't mind the awful lighting, am not good with camera and the windows were directly to the left.
The best part about the new Chargers is that they're immediately recognizable from the front, not just the back. The Tauruses and Impalas and such look more like any other sedan on the road, and of course the Crown Vics- where they're still in use- are immediately recognizable from basically any angle.
From what I've heard from most people, the big issue with most new cruisers isn't a matter of FWD or RWD- especially with the former being a big advantage in areas that regularly have shitty weather- but the interiors being so fucking cramped that there's no way to carry two officers and all their shit in any reasonable amount of comfort. Even on the models that completely remove the center console on the police package- which isn't many- there just isn't as much space compared to the old Panthers, B-bodies or even earlier cruisers.
ok i'm gonna shitpost
I don't have it I'm sorry, it's just the Iraqi police
...
...
...
Yeah most departments are buying more SUVs, infact I think ford held off on making the taurus cuz they thought the new expeditions were taking over. They need to bring back the vic though even if they put an economic boost or some other smaller engine.
Pic related: opinions on Michigan state police set up? It's mandated by law they use that color, gumball light, and have a stop sign on hood.
i'm done
These pics are pretty cool, I would mind a bmw cruiser but all blue police lights are the superior choice like on georgia state patrol cars
>bring back the vic
>smaller engine
You failed to shit post and accidentally contributed
But the vic man, we'll never get a v8 again so we might as well take what we can get. I'm lucky georgia police academy still has vics for the evasive driving course which means 3 days of crown vic fun on a skid pad.
the red+blue is traffic police, usual ones go blue only or leds
ok a couple more
...
...
In my area only the University police has red+blue the 3-4 other depts near by use all blue for all cars
...
Thank you
...
and my fav one
...
That paint job looks simple and classy I like it

Our local agency bought one Taurus PI and found this out. They're mostly Explorers now with a couple Tahoes and Chargers. The Taurus is a detective car now, it can't hold enough stuff for patrol duty, and once the cage is in, there is no room for perp feet, might as figure loading them all in sideways.
Its technically not a police car
Because filmed in black-and-white, the producers could use a color that would not be mistaken for actual NYPD patrol cars
Can anyone explain the Russian love for BMWs and Mercs?
After the wall fell big business men and mafia bought Mercedes and BMW to show off wealth. They were the ultimate status symbol and dominated the culture, even playing big roles in movies.
Imagine rolling around in a V12 E38 while most of the country is still stuck in 60's era tech rebadged Fiats.
It's kinda like how I imagine Cadillac in the US used to be back in the day, Al Capone had one, rich actors, actresses, singers, and businessmen had one. It had that look and image of succes, was something to aspire for.
Wait, the Russians like Mercurys?
Probably too rare to be popular there. I did do a search and found a guy with a 1992 Grand Marquis he's had since 1994 though.
Their HD Suburbans are badass.
The cops though?
I knew about the mafia dudes and all
Only 245s? Those come with 275s normally, do those heavy duty tires not come that wide?
>Are police cars cool? What's the coolest one?
They can be and pic related
I doubt it. Commercial tires tend to be pizza cutters. Hopping curbs with lo-pro 275's isn't going to work too well.
Seriously though UAE cops cruising around in fucking exotics is crazy. With that kind of power do chases actually happen over there?
You can't exactly outrun a radio but in the US most cops aren't going to be able to catch up with any decent mid-tier Audio.
...
Those car's aren't a symptoms of crime and "powerful" car chases, it's a symptom of a corrupt Arab government that doesn't know what do do with their immense petrol-money.
Once the oil dries out I bet those rich Arab nations will revert back to the stone age because pumping oil is all they know how to do and they have no other industry than that.
These are pretty cool i guess.
This is the equivalent of people breeding munchkin cats.
>tfw they blew pic up by putting the wrong fuel in it
top kek
they actually put 91 octane in it
Dutch highway patrol
Even worse he put e10 in it, did about 5k in damage to the engine.
driving over a roundabout at 150 kph
>no excuse
sure there is if your an important police dude
I wonder how long before the no chase laws are back again lol
calm down faggot it's on bags.
Just admit it's cool and stop trying to be so edgy
Well to catch a criminal you have to think like one
And police is just a justified criminal empire
Actually these bmw’s 528’s are assembled in russia, so they cost like 30k usd to our govt, a taurus with all the taxes being payed will cost not less than 40, we also have explorers and stuff
Bmw’s and mercs are high speed pursue units and also they are used either to chaffeur some high ranking officer, or escort some even higher ranking ones
what's up with these edge quotes on the back of it lmao
Not really police cars, but here are some the cars the gendarmerie's highway patrol used to have.
Alpine A110.
Citroen SM

The police used the regular version of the Peugeot 505
BMW R100 RT
And before those, the BMW R50
R32 GTR Cop car- rarest cop ever.

Madness?
THIS IS TATRA!
Police pursuit tuk tuk
Very iconic look that's instantly recognizable. They're always crawling all over I-94.

FHP had quite a few Camaros back in the early 2000's.
Some were even manuals.
hey i have a police car
local police don't have to abide by that and Ann Arbor's cops now run a black/dark blue text livery while also running many unmarked cars (some of which are trailblazer's with inboard lights)
Yeah but dont state police still have to use it? Its the stop sign on the hood that kills it
...

id love to buy an old 70s jap car, kaido it and paint it like a japanese police car
I preferred this one
ew that front end is gross and the entire car is tiny
Since when is a B-body tiny?
...
the crown vic is amazing but some departments just made them look awefull. So i ask, what department has the worst vic livery of all?
>Just admit it's cool
Shouldn't you be going to bed? You have school tomorrow morning.
Do you know how outrageously fast that thing was compared to the things it faced at its time?
That heavy-ass all-steel 1.6L going through a no-frills 4-speed manual had to propel nothing but 950kg worth of sozdaniye volei narodov (the creation of the will of the people). Up to 120 km/h it still cucks modern econoboxes in acceleration. Then it really starts lacking the aero and the fifth gear.
not even as cool as
I'm probably literally the only one on this board who thinks the Japanese police Toyota Crowns are really, really cool. Both the livery and the car itself
Will they ever come back?
About that...
I find the lightbar stilts funny but i do get the point. Livery is cool too.
