If you aren't using mod organizer I highly recommend you use it. because it allows you decide which files take priority over another without having to reinstall the mod.

Regardless of whether or not you are using mod organizer this is the order they should be installed in in descending order. Pic related

Here's what you do, you make a separate "mod" for solely the start_menu.xml or whatever it's called from the Darnified UI mod, and put it right after MCM. Basically:

>Darnified UI
>MCM
>Darnified UI override (it's what I call it) which holds only the start_menu.xml
>Every other UI mod

This is what BOTH tutorials I had saw told me to do and it worked. (or at the very least i might have changed them around afterwards and it still works just fine)

Keep in mind this isn't my load order its the priority order for mod organizer

Okay does your mod organizer let you manually install mods? It's really simple if it does. Basically just make a generic folder and copy-paste only the start_menu.xml into it (you may or may not have to make directory similar to the old folder but that shouldn't be a problem), turn it into a WinRAR file, then have your mod organizer install it. Change load order to what I said and you should be good to go.

I don't use NMM so I have no clue. I would assume that things overwrite each other above the previous mod if there are any similar files. All I can say is load the game and see if the issue still persists. If it does, at that point I guess you should upload screenshots.

Hmm, sorry, all I can say at this point is use Mod Organizer. I don't want to be that kind of guy but that's my main experience with modding. NMM is pretty shit anyways. Just make sure if you go that route you do the same steps as before because that's when I also first encountered that problem.

Very simple and intuitive. It gives you literally all the info you need, like which mods conflict with what and being able to adjust them to your heart's content. It even has a built-in tutorial if you so want to go through with it. Of course others make recommend FOMM and I can definitely see why but eh.

That's one of the good things about Mod Organizer is that you know which mods are conflicting.

It's easy to forget with mod organizer and its not automatically checked for you like with most other mod managers.
