bought my car used with 20K miles on it. It smelled like shit inside. Went to change the cabin air filter and realized there was none so I just popped the fresh one in and that did a lot to help

all of my cars are classic (30+ years) cars, they dont have cabin air filters

For some reason a genuine Ford cabin air filter costs $100 in my shithole country.

rip you. have you checked amazon and ebay? most of the ford ones are the same and you can get motorcraft FP-70s for like 15 bucks.

There's some Chinese ones but they take like two months to arrive most of the time. No Amazon seller will ship to my country.

This shitty South American country makes me feel a Ford Focus is some kind of exotic car. Every single replacement part is either expensive as fuck or never in stock. Brake pads? Expensive. Shocks? Sorry we don't have those. Brake disks? Three week wait. 5w20 oil? Expensive as fuck or never in stock.

About two weeks ago. Its the first maintenance I did to my car by myself that involved a wrench.

Tried to change mine but my m/y wasn't equipped
Had to get the housing from a junkyard
The donors was soaked and moldy
So gross, had the housing soak in Lysol

I don't have one, besides I smoke inside anyway so it wouldn't matter.

Not to mention in the summertime it would be useless because I have to have the windows down at all times thanks to no A/C.

Fluids topped off
Cabin and intake filters changed

that is a decent deal for healthier driving
but make sure they installed the filter correctly
you want numerous cabin clouds, not a few

When I started my car after last winter i got blown in the face with weird smelling dirt and shit.
turned out a mouse has built its nest in the cabin air ventilator during winter. It died in there so i got to eat parts of its corpse, yummy.
Tried to get it all out bt it was so ddep in the vent tunnels so I just figured to sell the car instead.
