So this car had forged piston upgraded crankshaft and prolly shit ton of psi of boost, to dust twin trubo 6 cylinder 350z like that off the line

What twin turbo 350Z? It had a damn RB26DETT of course it was faster.

Was it really easier to restore a rotten Mustang shell and do all the custom fabrication work to fit the RB26 in it?
Compared to just fixing up the Silvia, which could still move under its own power the last time it was seen?

The fuck are you aspies talking about?

Underage spotted

Tokyo drift, but yeah they're still sperging

oh the silvia had rb6 right right right.... i forgot.
and restoring silvia in japan where everyone drives a silvia Vs. doing all that shit to a mustang in japan. this makes no fucking sense.

following your logic why didn't they just get a r34 and crank up the boost? Because that's boring. The movies are meant to be entertaining and a rb26 powered mustang fit the character.

>I'm underage because I haven't seen tokyo drift
Good lord no, I'm just respectable.

Americans are obsessed with JDM, Japanese people are obsessed with muscle cars.
Supply/demand/rarity/obscurity.

Are you really dumb enough to miss one of the only metaphors in fucking Tokyo Drift ?
The fact he wins the final race using a RB26 swapped Mustang is suppose to show he grew up into a man by coming in terms with both his american dad and japanese friends.
>mfw you little shits love to claim it's a dumb movie yet don't get shit when it tries to be a little less dumb

>a rb26 powered mustang fit the character.

So you are saying the character was retarded?

We are talking about carstuff, No-cars like you should kys

the avg iq of someone who is a giant fan of the FnF series is sub 90

Are you having a Fucking stroke

The Mustang shell was his dad's project car, it was probably in pretty good shape and presumably had a bunch of parts collected already. Straightening the Silvia chassis is serious work that requires specialist equipment they didn't have access too, welding together mounts and brackets to fit the RB and all it's ancillaries could conceivably be done in a shed with a mig and the right knowledge. It really hinges on which car was in better shape to start with.

It's the finest movie of all time. It's also the first Fast and Furious movie where they use reasonably modes cars and use actual driving techniques.

>Straightening the Silvia chassis
How fast do you think he hit the wall?

This. Also they never actually swapped an BR26 in it so discussing how hard it is isn't really a point. IIRC when reading a behind the scenes, they only shoved an RB inside a Mustang bay for static shots, and for rolling shots they used 2 Mustangs with, if I'm not mistaken, 430 Windsor V8's.

They actually had one that worked with the RB26
