If the unit is widely available as a 3*, then merging a 4* version of them to +10 gives you those sweet stats without breaking the bank.

If it's a 4-5* only unit hell no don't merge 4*s

They're lost if you promote. So if you go say, 4 star +5 and then promote to a 5 star, it's 5 star+0, not 5. Like the other user said if they're common units go for the merge instead of going to 5 star, especially if you're planning on giving them a different weapon/skill set than what's their default.

upgrading a 4* to a 5* removes all your merges

They could have had a really good banner with SL+ Amelia, SA+ Ross, and some Ewan with a meme tome, red green and blue, would have worked well and we'd have slaying lance, but no, fuck this

The 43 is the Special bonus. The 19x2 is Celica's actual attack.

AoE specials calculate health based skills such as Wary Fighter, Vantage etc. after they land, not the unit's displayed health at the start of the action

At least being able to reroll the Training Tower will make this somewhat bearable.
