Look like a large metal cylinder with a another metal cylinder attached to it. The smaller one should have wires attached to it. To make it easy to find, start with the thickest wire coming from the positive terminal on your battery and follow it. It goes right to the starter.

It's a small motor that's attached to your big motor. That in turn has an even smaller motor attached to the small motor and you get progressively smaller motors all the way to your ignition. When you turn the key the tiny motor starts up and begins a chain reaction with all the small motors until it fires up your big motor
