Not quite, there's a lot of shared mechanics, but there's a few significant differences as well, most obviously, both you and your opponents are on a 3 by 3 grid, with your megucas each occupying one space, as do most normal enemies, however some bosses take up multiple spaces, along with this, one of the types of disc (basically the cards, each character has their own layout of 5, you randomly draw 5 a turn from the pool and pick 3 to use), is aoe, the blast, which can be either horizontal or vertical.

there's also connect, which charges up after using the same girl to attack multiple times, and uses one characters disc to allow another to attack and grants a boost to them that turn, ranging from attack boosts, to heals, to taunt effects.

Also besides connect and magia (NP), the characters don't have skills, but some memoria (ces) grant active skills, and you can unlock additional memoria slots for a character by acquiring multiple copies.

There's probably more but that's the most obvious stuff, I suppose.

The restriction is already in place, nobody, nip or otherwise, can download the game through the play store unless their phone is officially supported, they've actually expanded the list, just not as much as most would like.
