Might be moving to Philadelphia area from Southern California. I'd be taking my miata. Anyone know how's the car culture there and if there's good roads/touge-y areas?

you're moving from the state with the best roads to an area that has jack shit.

might as well sell the miata

I live just north of Philly. If you go into the Wrightstown, Furlong, New hope area there are some excellent roads. Also River Rd runs along up the delaware and is a pleasure to drive or ride on.

:(
Thanks! Keeping that in my book

This, nothing in this country tops socal mountain touge

I spend plenty of time there.
Lots of good driving roads if you’re willing to make a day trip out of it.
Lots of hidden backroads even close in.
A small roadster will be a hell of a lot of fun here.
I keep an S2000 there and I enjoy it
You either don’t live there or you’re ... not adventurous?

>negrodelphia

Literally as soon as you cross ot of the city lines theres no negron

Compared to Socal, it might as well be nothing. Its a matter of expectations. Though I expect some good mountain roads to drift on at the maryland border.

Also lets hoon and grab an c/o/fee. No roadster but i have a lead heavy CLS

Current Philly-resident/Miata owner.

There is a Miata/Mazda specialist about 30mins outside of the city in Kennett Square. Also happens to have some really nice backroads around there.

Also late night summer highway drives have plenty of beautiful views to enjoy. There is also a nice little loop you can take. From Northeast Philly go South 95 into the Stadium district and you get to enjoy the views of the Delaware River, Camden, NJ's City Hall, and the Ben Franklin Bridge, turn onto far south Broad Street heading north to see the neon lights of the stadium, and from Broad Street head head West on 676 to see the lights on the homes along Boathouse Row, the Cira Center, and the Philadelphia Zoo's entrance/hot air balloon.

Are they really as numerous as people make out?
t. foreigner

Love/respect for the Miata is mixed in the city. Nice/neutral people are friendly, I've had lots of neighborhood kids and younger families give waves or shouts of "nice car" (despite it being extraordinarly stock and in meh condition).

I've never had a problem with vandals or anything with it at all, despite having my hubcaps stolen off of my DD Toyota Corolla.

dont listen to him or the other user worrying about how many black people there are, are the least of your problems.

just hope some wh*toid is on a fucking supreme gentlemen outrage when you're visiting anywhere and youll be fine.

Depends on where you are in the city, but overall yes. However your experience totally varies depending on the economic value of the area.

Most of the areas that are made up of 20%+ white people will be reasonably safe (as long as you aren't completely foolish).

>Most of the areas that are made up of 20%+ white people

White population of Parkland, Florida is 84% Caucasian.

17 school children died by the hands of a le 56% cumskin.

You dont want to be walking around at 3am by yourself in deep North or West Philly, waiving around an iPhone and a wad of money.

But barhopping with friends at midnight in Center City on a Friday/Saturday night is totally OK. Sure you might see a homeless guy sitting on the ground, but if you ignore them they wont bother you.

>You dont want to be walking around at 3am by yourself in deep North or West Philly, waiving around an iPhone and a wad of money.

1. What kind of dumb ass has a wad of money on them in the year of our lord 2018. esp @ 3am in the morning in the hood.
2. White people walking in the hood are 100x safer than other black people say who are not even from that neighborhood
3. Why the fuck would you be walking around @ 3am in the hood when there is a thing called uber/lyft/taxi's.

And guess what? White people who do shit like that RARELY ever get bothered but sure it does happened.

1st. I said reasonably safe.

2nd. Sandy Hook- White Guy; Charleston, SC- White Guy; Columbine- White Guys; Aurora- White Guy

Poor mental health transcends race.

>2nd. Sandy Hook- White Guy

I live 20 min away from Sandy Hook. That is the most Caucasian ass town in Connecticut. Its kinda funny when white people do the whole white flight thing to get away from minorities thinking they are safe when one of their own ends up going on a mass murdering spree at an elementary school.

people pay so much money to get away from danger just for it to show up in their pretty lil neighborhood. Shits kinda fucked.

You're going to get the shit kicked out of you driving that in Philly

Literally no good jobs for white collar positions in Philly.
I'd suggest reconsidering.

School shootings barely account for any of the firearm related homicide in America. Its a statistical anomaly when looking at gun violence as a whole. A very large chunk of it is gangbanging niggers and spics shooting each other. On top of that almost every single study is padded with gun related suicides. I don't see people complaining about that shit, or news stations covering it for weeks at a time. I'd rather live in a mostly white city with the fucking miniscule chance of some mentally unhinged autist shooting up a school than any big city with lots of darkies shooting each other.

Was just curious, I don't plan to visit. I like my quiet little country, and I'm afraid of flying.
The other 80% will behave if there's 20% supervising?
I don't drink and I'm usually in bed before 11 anyway. Should be okay then I guess.

>No white collar jobs in Philly
>Philly is a city with multiple colleges/grad schools (including business and law schools...including an Ivy)
t. white collar Philly corporate employee and Philly college grad

At least niggers kill other niggers.
White people can't even murder right.

the absolute state of wh*te "people" rn.

lmao

>champion genocide lads can't murder right
Lmao

Bensalem checking in (Philadelphia suburb) there's a few hidden roads. As noted before, New Hope has a few killer roads. I'd avoid Ara ave meets, they can get rowdy. Essington ave is pretty fun on the weekends.

sweet E30

thanks, it's a fun car. Shame there's not a straight panel on the car lol.

straight panels don't mean shit. having fun does. Hopefully I'll own an E30 again sometime.

Cheers bro

Ayyyy Bensalem

OP, the Philly area pretty flat from the city limit east through NJ. You can find really nice roads up Route 611, Route 32/River Rd. Central Bucks County tends to be not as flat as the city. If you want faster sweeps and straights, consider checking out Wharton State Forest in the Pine Barrens in NJ.

what part of so cal u coming from.. moving to bakersfield in the spring.. from the midwest

Thanks bro
Torrance/LA

Each one of those shooters was a Jew, actually.

so maybe we should be nice to the jews?
