Dash was also very profitable if you bought it under 0.02

Bought in at .16 for 3,000 coins yesterday and again today at 28 for an extra 500.

So I tried downloading the wallet off the pivx website and installing it, but when i did so i got a warning from my security for a "bitcoin miner." Is that just the POS miner in the program or was I about to be jewed? I don't want to keep my coin on the exhange if i can help it.

I'd probably personally put a bit more than 1eth into PIVx because it really does seem to have Veeky Forums magic attached to it - but half? You have to make that call yourself.
