Is WoTC like a lot harder than the base game? It keeps feeling like there is no fucking time to do any of the missions and that the timers are like 2 turns shorter. That and when I did the mission to save Mox I lost 2 soldiers

It's harder because you have more stuff to juggle, even with how crazy good the new classes are. Before it was basically just doing the skulljack and blacksite and then you cruise on alien facilities until the end of the game

I beat the base game and the base game with the 2 DLC on commander. I've also beat EW on classic like a billion times and can beat EW on classic change to impossible mid game and win as long as I do it after lasers.


When I grabbed Mox the Skyranger deployed like on the other side of the map.

I literally called skyranger near the cell, lobbed three grenades at the back of the prison, it went down next turn, packed up and left
The entire point of that mission is that you NEED to call evac near, since blowing your covert WILL force it to spawn somewhere else

No it was static, still though it was a really easy mission. I had two guys hanging out near the EVAC while Dragunova grabbed Mox and booked it for the EVAC

They get better in WotC since they can get chosen weapons, both sides of their ability tree, and 4 other abilities.

Templars are shit compared to psy ops though. They're only good as melee monsters, but only if you get bladestorm. They are mostly utility otherwise.

Are psi even that good? I always felt like one is okay at best. Rather grind another grenadier. Hell in my current wotc run I dont even have psi ops going.

Nah. It feels harder but once you get 2 squads up rolling youre fine. Covert ops reducing the avatar project is literally op. You have basically all the time in the world due to this.

Psi are pretty OP.

Two nice blasts, CC, a debuff that also do damage and heal you, emergency stasis, immunity to environmental effects and granting immunity to mental effects to nearby squad members.

And you can explode the grenades that aliens carry.

Psi are great.
And with the new system that makes it take a long time to train up your soldiers, having them training independently in the background is great to fill in your roster with strong high level troops.

templars are the true eversors because I can just rush them into pods and bladestorm everything at max focus

They're not two separate campaigns? I also have Shen's Last Gift if it matters.

Yes. Think EW compared to Enemy Unknown. Though the difference in features between Xcom 2 and wotc is even greater

How do I use the Hypervital Module? I've got a Reaper that's wounded for like 28 days.

You need an elirium core and I think you do it through the squad selection screen when going on a mission. You can also only do it once per soldier and he gets back to being wounded after the mission ends.

I don't get it. I dropped the evac, but as soon as I picked up Mox, the evac moved to the other side of the building.

All right, stupid question. How does one make a mod to put on Steam? Right now I've got some simple ideas I want to implement, they're all ini edits, but I'd like to have them as an easily-toggled mod.
