That's the basis of the working world: You pay them with your time, they pay you with their money. You are essentially spending time to buy money. That's why people stress the "importance" of a job you enjoy: When you like what you're doing (for non-monetary reasons) AND you are being paid money to do it, you are essentially spending most of your time to buy experiences you enjoy AND money. But likewise, a well-paying job can be even more important: Maybe you won't like how you have to spend your time, but if it buys you a significantly larger sum of money, then it's a better exchange rate, and, as they say, time well spent.

You can usually get more money, one way or another. You can even potentially get unlimited money if you're determined/lucky.
You can never get more time. You only have so much of it, and it gets spent on literally everything you do.

So yes, spend your time on making money. You literally need money for nearly everything in life, and it's a good time investment. But always remember to save some time, to spend on the experiences you enjoy - the things that you personally enjoy spending your time on, for entertainment or pleasure. Money can't buy us time, but it can buy us good opportunities to spend our time on the things we like.
