The Shadowkeeper honestly seems better than the Darklance.

Shadowkeeper gives you more aim and crit, which is great on pistols. Darklance only gives 1 more damage and ignores armor (but if you're attacking an armored target with pistols it is usually a robot and you're gonna deal 20+ damage anyways).

Thoughts?

I kept hearing horror stories about the Assasin but mine was comically inept and for some reason my random pull from the hero pack mod characters, Junkrat was the bane of her fucking existance. In hindsight I should have taken pictures.

Also, on the matter of Avenger Defenses, I've now learned that if one of your reserve troops is bonded with your main squad then they'll be able to offer their teammate an extra move as usual but the bondmate from the main squad won't "update" to have the same skill. Does anyone know if there's a mod that fixes that or otherwise working on it? That's something that's probably about to get one of my soldiers killed here.

You should have multiple snipers. But if you have only one, sniping, obviously.

Pistols are good for killing zambiez. Unless you play on legend, because then the game hates you and spawns dashers with 10 hp regularly.

Drop as loot. Can be bought on Black Market from time to time.

Loot is generated with the mission, a fixed number. Not blowing the NPC carrying it helps.

In my current legend, the only good order I have is the contact new region instantly. And I guess collecting supplies instantly is also ok.

I can only assume Firaxis were lazy fucks and didn't want to animate them carry the gun like normal and only did it for firing.

Same. My sharpshooters all have face-off and lightning hands, but I'm at the stage where regular Lost have 5HP, and my 3-6 damage plasma pistols might not be cutting it. Lost missions give me anxiety I swear

I wish that tier 3 armor wasn't a straight upgrade but rather unlocked a bunch of specialized suits like the archangel jet-pack suit or cloaking suit.

They would be bounded to a specific solider and would gain new abilities as the solider becomes more familiar with the suit.

It just feel wrong for power armor to become standard after building it. Should have more impact.
