M8 you shouldn't be using your phone while operating a motor vehicle. What the fuck

I figured that was a fairly obvious joke on my part, but apparently not. I guess I expected too much from someone that froths at the mouth when he sees a badge.

Got a pretty decent deal. So far have had some fun and have gotten completely stuck in mud, all the way to the body.

it's not about branding, it's about funding manufacturers that are so incapable of competing that they must resort to federal interference to remain relevant. anyone who buys a car from the company responsible for the import ban of 1988 is giving their pathetic lobbying a free pass.

Really clean EK. Wouldn't mind owning that as a DD.

I love sport crosses. I had been looking for one around the time that I bought my CL-S but they're so hard to find.

Pretty cool obscure car that people seem to gloss over.

Not a clue in the world what this is, seems like a good car to do a crime in and getaway.

Mirin the roof weight carrying ability of that honda.
Great condition EK. Never see real tidy ones anymore. From NZ I take it by the plates. Lots of twistys around there.

Another US car I don't know. Nice colour though :)

Fancy. Take some women for a date in that.

Is that what it looks like, a wagon altezza/is200? Super cool car, never seen one.

The fiat version is super cool. Hardly see any compared to the ND.

doesnt this car go 0-100kph in 20 seconds?
Got a friend with a Caddy with the 1.9SDI. He uses it on his farm. Not very fast, but man that engine is indestructible.

Anyway, I got a red B6 Passat with the 1.6 MPI engine. I think I got the most boring car out of Veeky Forums

Attached: Volkswagen~Passat~(6).jpg (730x475, 54K)

vag

Attached: blue trd .jpg (616x427, 163K)

it's slow, but very usefull. It carried 1 ton of olives on dirt road like nothing, ot also consumes fuel like lighter

also that passat is quite good, it wpuld be better with 2.0 TDI engine, but nobody is perfect. Or maybe I'm to much of diesel fag

Well I mostly drive in the city and I know to stay away from the 2.0 TDI from the B6 Passat.
Tbh, I wanted a 1.8 TSI Passat but o well, nobody is perfect. Petrol powered Passats are so hard to find.

Attached: Volkswagen~Passat~(8).jpg (730x479, 55K)

>I know to stay away from the 2.0 TDI
what's wrong with it? 1.9 Tdi is better though

Well Im on the B6 Passat Facebook Group in my country, and there are tons of problems with the 2.0TDI PD engine.
Oil pump fails, oil pump shaft also craps out and needs to be changed every 2nd oil change.
The dual mass flywheel is a pain in the ass and tends to crap out. Sometimes it takes the gearbox with it.
The famous Siemens injector issue where they short-circuit and crap out. You have to change all 4 at once and we are talking about 1500 euros worth of repairs here.

After 2008 they introduced the Common Rail engines and most of the problems have been solved. Except that now there are issues with the High Pressure Fuel Pump, which can accumulate span in it and destroy the entire engine.

The 1.9TDI is problem free, however extra care needs to be taken for those with the DPF, as with all the diesels which have DPF.

My 1.6 MPI is the most reliable engine from the Passat range, although its also the slowest.

Then there is the 1.8 TSI which eats some oil (nothing bad tho), which is incredibly rare on the B6 Passat, and then the full on 2.0 TFSI which is one leaky boi with a great thirst for oil.

There is also the 2.0 FSI which is the 2nd most reliable engine from the B6 Passat, but also kinda rare. In fact, all petrol powered Passats are rare, everybody just went diesel, and I can totally see why a diesel suits best this car.

There is also the 3.2 FSI and 3.6 FSI but good luck finding one, those are Touareg and Q7 spec engines.

Attached: Volkswagen~Passat~(2).jpg (730x466, 77K)

2007 Stilo Racing. Kinda shitbox and it doesn't feel like my neighbours 2007 FiST whom it tried to compete against.
But the handling (not the feeling) is pretty damn good, no understeering this thing. Drinks more than me though

Attached: 20180225_142732.jpg (1024x576, 213K)

Pumpe Duse>common rail
why VAG stopped using it I have no idea

Thanks, and I think it actually shares it's headlights with the AE86. Friend of mine wants to paint it full fujiwara panda scheme but I actually dig the brown.

The AE86 wasn't sold here as far as I know so I haven't been asked that

Attached: IMG_20170815_001340_785.jpg (3072x3072, 3.37M)

I want one of these so fucking bad.

They had to move with the times. By the time VW got out its first CR system in 2008, others were at 3rd-4th generation of CR.
For example, Alfa Romeo and Mercedes brought the first CR systems in the 156 2.4 JTD and W202 C220 CDI all the way back in 1997.
VAG always used to be the backwards manufacturer that refused to adopt new technology.
Look at the Golf 4: At the time it was launched, it was a Nokia phone in a world of Blackberry

VAG developed it's pumpe duse as alternative to common rail, then for some reason they switched to common rail

Toch wel zo'n 1 op 10, maar de benzineteller doet het niet dus het is een gok. Plus ik moet 98 tanken volgens het boekje.. Gelukkig rij ik alleen in het weekend...

They were doing lots of weird shit back then...Vr6 engine, the V5, the W8..fun times

Very nice car. Looks much classier than mine. But you forgot an engine. Mine. BWA, 2.0 TFSI, manual 6 speed.

Attached: received_1986244008295950.jpg (1184x666, 97K)

Bought this 3 days ago, it's got the ultra-rare 3.0L Vulcan V6 and 5-speed manual combo, most V6's were automatics. Everything works, flawless copy of this model.

That 2.0 TFSI must be hardcore porn. Never driven or seen one in person, only 2.0 FSI.
How is that 200 bhp monster going? I got a lousy 102 bhp.
Also, how is that oil consumption? Really nice Passat!
I think that the rarest engine on the Passat was the 2.0 TDI BMA 136 bhp version which was Belgium exclusive.

I would like to upgrade to either an B6 2.0 FSI, 1.8 TSI or 2.0 TFSI (if I can find one). Either a B6 or a B7, but the B7 is just so damn expensive.

nice car user
See
I have the little brother

It's a nice car. I've owned it since may 2017, bought it at 123000km, now it has 132000. It ate up about 3 liters of oil until now. But as long as you keep it topped up, it's a really nice drive, and really suits the Passat's character. Here anual car tax is based on engine size, so up to 2 liters it's fine, but go 2001 cm3, and the race increases by 400%. For example, a 3.2 engine gets taxed 4700% more than a 2 liter. Also, I love the sleeper effect. Everyone looks at it and thinks it's a TDI, cause it's debadged, and when I hit the gas, after the lag is done cucking me, I'm car lengths in front of them.

Attached: received_1986243991629285.jpg (666x1184, 152K)

Also, I had it lowered, with a set of Eibach Pro-kit springs. They're designed to work with stock suspension, so they won't grenade your shocks.

Attached: received_2057475121172838.jpg (1920x1080, 108K)

Is that a proper M3? 4 litre or 4.4? I'm not all that big on V8's desu, but BMW V8's seem so much more refined than merikan ones, they're smooth as shit, almost like a straight 6.

Attached: annearchy.jpg (1200x900, 267K)

Where are you from, my heavily taxed friend?
Also, why would you lower it? One thing I dont like about the Passat is that it is so fucking low. But then again, I live in a country full of potholes and bad roads.
Also, did you change the famous electric parking brake?
Ive driven a 2.0 FSI and man its quite a missile compared to my 1.6 MPI.

Here’s mine. 99 Honda HRV. Never see anyone with this car (and I understand why) but she’s as reliable as a Nokia 3315. 385k and still going strong

I’m only just starting to get into cars so I’m not that knowledgable, just bits and pieces from my mechanic Dad, so most ratings will be cosmetic based.

Sexy, I like the wheels. Black one looks well cared for.
Looks practical and reliable, roofracks are always good
Always wanted to own a Ute, just something about driving an old metal tray Ute felt right when I borrowed my Dad’s.

Jelly! That’s a good combo

Yes sir, 4.0. Very smooth power delivery.

The picture should help with my location. Btw, the E46 is one of my other cars. The Passat heats up quite a lot faster, and has heated seats, so today the wife took it to work, as everything else is under a huge pile of snow. The car is stock, other than the springs. And they are progressive, so potholes are not an issue. Still has the electric handbrake, but if I want to have some fun I just take the beemer and let it be tailhappy. The FSI is more responsive as there is no turbolag, but the turbo really helps about half a second later. Btw, where do you live? (Just curious if you have worse roads than we do)
