It's a shame none of the fuccbois who coughed up 15k for the GT dared to rip out the ESP fuses ( ~muh warrantyyy~).
All they do is making highly polished youtube videos about how it is not possible to drift in that car while frantically not mentioning actually fucking with the electronics.

Why isnt there an electric version of the twingo?

because they have the smugly Zoe for exactly that purpose

Attached: Renault-Zoe-474x316-2a1916114dcd2176.jpg (474x316, 41K)

but its ugly. like a helmet on wheels

best selling E car in europe so I guess most normies don't care

Waitaminutethatface

Attached: banana cat 2.jpg (960x955, 177K)

Because most europoors don't have enough disposable income for decent sized cars, new that is

lol

Looks soy as fuck.

Good thing they don't bring these to the US. We have enough estrogen in the streets as it is.

>trying to drift @ 5mph

Attached: images.png (211x239, 9K)

They do that on purpose.
If this car gets known to go sideways easily, it would be CATASTROPHIC for the brand because soccermoms would see this (and in worst case hear of accidents because of this) and selling numbers would plummet.
Cars in this market segment MUST BE as safe and "idiot proof" as possible while being cheap or else they won't succeed and the small car market is one of the most important in Yuropoor.

From the technical side it is absolutely without question that the car can go sideways with RWD 110hp and ESPECIALLY with wheels that thin. Back in the 80s they also did tons of hooning and drifting with quite similar HP numbers just fine. The problem is that the short wheelbase of this particular car would make it ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS. It would be a first class treewrapper without the ESP on and an idiot behind the wheel and that is exactly what they fear the most.

Mount a spike on the top of it like pic related

Attached: German WWI piklehaub in felt.jpg (800x1027, 90K)

On the contrary my amerifat friend, most europeans just lease a new car and when the leasing is finished they turn in the car and finance a new one. For most europeans, the leasing is just another monthly bill. This is why the hatchback segment is doing so well. You are paying 150-200 euros/month on a brand new car all the time and you get complete servicing and warranty on it.
For alot of people the car is just an appliance so getting rid of all the maintainance hassle is a good enough reason to just finance stuff.
Also, most europoors refuse to pay more than 20k euros on a car.

>market it as a sporty """GT""" car
>doesn't have a way to turn off traction control to make it sporty
>if you forcibly disable it, it voids your warranty
ford lets you turn off traction control AND ESC with a button. Wtf is this faggy shit, Renault?

Here in America, every normie I know is on that never ending lease train. I thought leasing was more of an American thing

same with the VW UP! GTi, but you can turn it off with VCDS/VAG-COM or OBDeleven.

Attached: vw-up-gti-470.jpg (900x596, 110K)

>Wtf is this faggy shit, Renault?

The Twingo is absolutely fucking dangerous without those electronics, that's the fucking reason. Those other cars are "ok" without them turned on. Still need skills to not crash but again, because of the extremely short wheelbase and the thin tires, the Twingo is not suitable to unskilled drivers without electronics.

We reached a point where cars need electronics to not make you crash because the whole concept is mechanically FLAWED as fuck and only compensated with electronics.

Attached: 1163973600933.gif (529x619, 46K)

those other cars are mechanically designed to "safely" understeer, also FWD while the twingo is RWD.

The UP would never chaotically snap oversteer like a cunt, that's why you can deactivate it.

Twingo has a great potential to be EV. Actually if you look up at bare bodyshell photos you'll find a lot of space for batteries under the floor. Just like picrel.
I think designers had EV version in mind from the very beginnng.

No demand is the answer:
pushevs.com/2017/08/28/renault-twingo-ze-launch-depends-demand/

Anyway

FF EVs based on ICE cars are just gap-fillers.

Attached: 640-mitsubishi-i-miev-1.jpg (640x380, 29K)

there is an EV version it's called the smart electric drive.

>We reached a point where cars need electronics to not make you crash
Reminds me of this iconic happening from 1997.
I bet most bloated blobs of today that do not let you deactivate the ESP completely would do this with it deactivated.

Just fucking sad.

yeah.
Picrel: This space is unused in petrol twingo. Perfect placement for batteries

Attached: twong.jpg (984x700, 280K)

perfect place to get punctured

where do you think the batteries in a tesla are located?

You obviously don't know shit.
Do you get your fuel tank punctured? 'Cause that's almost exactly where it is

lol Electcuck meltdown

Attached: dims.jpg (606x347, 83K)

i hope they have the balls to build it though
finally a funky little elecric car that actually is a normal car not some designers vision of the future

I want a Renault-Sport twingo. please Renault just announce it and give me 2 years to save up.

Did you forget ?

>He's still melting

Sperg more

Attached: xjk6ahisnpvqbihlav22.png (800x450, 677K)

Why are you trying to talk with him?

extremely easy to bait

Only the pre-'96 ones, later Twingos got the D7F and D4F which are an entirely new engine design.

But yeah, it's a direct bolt-in job on an early Twingo and hitting ~200hp is no problem at all. Will likely fuck the transmission sooner or later though.

Yeah you were lmao. Better luck next time champ.

>haha yes i knew you were baiting me all along
nice save, retard

Melt more lmao

>Will likely fuck the transmission sooner or later though.
And having that happening so close to your dick is probably not nice

dunno. I shopped them because I really really really want to see one on them. I hate modern flat wheels

This is the best you could come up with?
lmao

>is actual facts with proof the best you could come up with????

Lol

It's not so much that they don't want to, but the entry level products for badgewhores are going to be shit no matter what they do. They might as well make them FWD to make it cheaper so they'll sell more of them, which pays for the actually cool shit to be made like the new AMG GT.

>implying 8 incidents in 6 years is anything special
toppest kek

niponese grils seem to like them

I suppose. Still a bummer considering BMW didn't do too bad with the 1 Series.

>it doesnt count because i say so!
lol
