Speaking as a resident dextrofag, I always found that Quarians and Turians hit a perfect middle ground between xeno and humanlike aesthetic. Asari are blue space babe with Star Trek head thinggie,that are written to be the good-looking romantic interest of a whole galaxy, who can mate with anyone and have a whole period of their life dedicated to fucking and stripping, but they just seem bland and too humanlike for me. The Asari and human romance option never really appealed to me except for Samara.
I like Femturs for the rough and tough tomboy aspect of their personality, the way their mandibles makes their body language interesting to read and the disciplined "space roman" themed Turian culture have in general.
For me, the way Vetra open her mandibles wide open when Ryder say he likes what he sees is a good example on why I find their body language really interesting and exotic.
I like femquarians because they also have that "body language to convey emotion" thing going. They have an interesting culture and well-rounded personalities, and their quirk of not being able to leave their suit makes romantic stuff like intimacy or sex interesting, as they're not taken as "granted".
That's what I think of it, at least, and I'm sure that personal tastes about women can factor in.
