>Planning to go to a LLDS at the end of the month >Planning to play TK YZ Dinosaurs >Have a super hard time remembering combos other than Denglong into Herald (though I have been making progress) >Feel the pressure of performing well, especially since Dinos might be the top tier deck after the banlist
Fuck I just wanna play Frightfurs or Metalfoes or some low-key rouge deck and have fun instead but that would be a waste of money.
Gavin Torres
>3 Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning >1 Monster Reborn >1 Card Destruction >1 Vanity’s Emptiness >3 Skill Drain >1 Harpie’s Feather Duster
Why is the OCG banlist so different?
John Howard
Fuck off loser
Jace Hall
so given the state of ocg decks right now that gives no fucks about links has this happened on the first pendulum cards? or links are just shit right now?
Camden Taylor
The mechanic is a mistake that literally did the opposite of what it was supposed to do.
Charles Collins
Soon we will get decks that exclusively shit out billions of links where the opponents side is 6 link-4^ with bullshit abilities each.
OH WAIT
Lucas Hernandez
People did not care about the initial pendulum cards as they were mostly normal pendulums or Magician/Performapal stuff with way to many restrictions to see any play. Qliphorts made their debut in the second Arc-V era set though and we're past that line with links and yet no good link decks (except janky ftks) has been made.
We're also in a wierd state of the now as the strongest decks can sit on a single extra deck monster (Denglong, Invoked Mechaba, Drident in the TCG) combined with maindeck boss monsters (Master Peace, Ultimate Conductor Tyranno). Decks like say, Shaddolls or Paleozoics were way more reliant on their extra deck toolboxes than the current meta decks are so Links hardly made an impact meta wise.
Charles Roberts
I don't think you can compare Links to Pendulums. Comparisons to Synchros or Xyzs might be more apt.
Elijah Evans
That might be more correct, yes. I wasn't really in the loop when XYZ and Synchro dropped but I can imagine Synchros being way more successful than XYZ initially due to Stardust Dragon being such a great card at the time, yes?
Jason Sanders
Synchros established themselves really quickly. Within a year of its release or maybe a little longer. Synchros quickly dominated the game. XYZ took a little more time before shitting everyone up.
Elijah Rivera
Yeah, Dinorabbit wasn't untill a few sets in and Wind-Ups wasn't that good initially IIRC. Also the XYZ monsters were less generic those days.
Elijah Hughes
Yeah Wind-Ups took I think 2 sets to get good with carrier loop.
And most XYZ were very archityped based. The closest deck that wasn't architype was like Gadgets which was what, 2 years in? It was Dinorabbit, Windups and then DRAGONS that made XYZ really good competitively but Dragons made anything good. Most decks that used XYZ already had boss monsters that could win them games without use of XYZ
Dylan Russell
is lingdingdong getting put on the list?
Zachary Lopez
>the dm manga has a bunch of 4 star 2000 attack monsters with no downsides
what the fuck
Anthony Price
That's it Link form.
Jonathan Price
Ruling question: If I control 5 spell and or trap cards with one of them being a Metalfoes pendulum monster and one being a face-up continous spell or trap card, can I use the Metalfoe scale to pop the face-up card to set a new one from my deck?
James Price
>Neither Joey nor Marik ever went on to use this card in any of their matches after Possesed Joey vs Yugi
Wtf
Andrew Long
hopefully
Hudson Brown
ban or limit?
Thomas Watson
Maybe in japland, but no way is that gonna happen in tcg.
Josiah Brooks
>be in tournament >constantly changing out cards in your deck in between duels with new people
UHHH JUDGE?
Xavier Foster
TRANSLATE IT WEEBS
Gavin Gomez
Really?
Nicholas Nguyen
I almost feel starved for actual new cards now
Levi Cook
>Twitter card reveal is literally for a set that's out 3-4 days later t-thanks konami
Landon Cox
>there are people who deny the poor sales rumor
Nolan Parker
fuck off
Daniel Martin
how do i into ABCs? how do I get all 3 motherfuckers on the field at the same time?
Nicholas Butler
shit nevermind i just realized i can banish them from the grave too
Cameron Barnes
>linking to an outdated simulator
Easton Collins
When is the ocg banlist arriving? October?
Aiden Gutierrez
We get the list in 7 or 8 days and goes into effect in October.
Christian Green
Oh boy I can't wait to see how much better their list is than ours. Again.
Leo Sanchez
The High Quality Pics Link doesn't work
Wyatt Hill
Ocg
Justin Lopez
Eternal reminder that we stil have Broadbull/Drancia/Barrage compared to them
Yes, that's fine and all, but I was wondering if there has been any word or confirmation on when the next list arriving or if there is an obvious pattern in the ocg regardig banlists.
Julian Gonzalez
Fairy Tail decks!
Thomas Edwards
Show us your Field dng
Angel Robinson
OCG puts out a new list every 3 months. The website has been putting out info for the past 3 months. The content of the website, yu-gi-oh.jp, had published info in advance that is replicated in VJump.
Alexander Cruz
The OCG has a set schedule for banlists, unlike here where the schedule is "Whenever Tewart gets off his ass".
Do cards like Number 107 also cancel out the effects of cards like Master Peace that say they aren't affected by monster effects?
Christopher Jackson
No.
Carson Roberts
Ok, thank you.
Juan Morgan
I hope we don't get Baguska on TCG. Shit it's a R4NK VFD, only drawback is dying to Kaiju.
Henry Flores
link monsters are immune to his effect :^)
William Bennett
I hoped we would get him and the r2 Cat Girl as chase cards in the Legendary Duelists set but nope, not even the Amazoness fusions were imported in that thrash set
Michael Lewis
>most used link monsters are decode, missus, linkuriboh and akashik >the only one that can destroy an defense mode Baguska is Decode >Decode is probably going to take a solemn anyways
Matthew Taylor
Is this new Red-Eyes support good enough to be rogue? I heard that Slash with Gemini support works.
Jack Torres
Just use some backrow like the neo Mirror Forces
Logan Thompson
It's not good besides Slash (which isn't worth Red-Eyes Fusion's restrictions).
Benjamin Long
Why is abc the worst meta deck out there right now????
Chase Sanchez
What did that have to do with my post?
Ayden Bennett
I quoted you by mistake, the question was for /dng/
Mason Torres
Why don't you suck my dick?
Jason Gonzalez
Cool discovery - has anyone else seen how cards like Sacred Phoenix of Nephytis and Vampire Lord interact with Skill Drain?
Michael Russell
You mean the part where their effects still activate because they activate in the graveyard, not the field?
Joshua Cooper
>whoah, if it says "on the field", it actually means "on the field"
Samuel Nelson
Yeah, that floating looks wonderfully exploitable.
Josiah Perry
What happens to monsters in Linked zones when a link monster is removed or destroyed. I cant find an answer anywhere
Kayden Clark
nothing why would anything happen to them
Kevin Watson
Nothing
Tyler Morris
You mean, "Has already been exploited many times".
Daniel Baker
I thought maybe they would get destroyed. But I guess its all fine
Oliver Hall
is soul drain a good main deck choice for decks who don't rely on the graveyard?
Julian Miller
No. Absolutely not.
Brody Peterson
Too slow
Jordan Sullivan
why not?
Asher Stewart
Maybe in a more grave reliant format like BA, but not at the moment.
Kayden Cook
Waifu devotion in every thread until Madolche support is announced for Link Vrains Pack
Owen Baker
Best
Ayden James
Because it has no guarantee of doing anything. It's a side deck card.
Logan Cooper
>no dick edition a rather use a kaiju :T
Brody Mitchell
But then you'd have to play this dumb game again, silly
Cooper Peterson
>can search cyberse spell/trap cards because they have cyber in the name PRINT BROKEN GENERIC CYBERSE SUPPORT KONAMI DO IT YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO NONE OF THAT SHIT LIKE CYBNET BACKDOOR WHERE YOU AVOID THE NAME ON PURPOSE
Charles Nguyen
>Implying that isn't the reason that they used "Cybnet" instead of "Cyberse" They know what they're doing (this time)
Leo King
If I enjoy it again, that's not a problem
Brandon Anderson
It's actually very likely.
Ryan Jackson
So what are the pretty much guaranteed decks to get Links? Lightsworns, Madolches, Six Sams, Mermails, and what else?
Owen Williams
Post petdecks >inb4 "petdecks"
Lucas Walker
Anything that was remotely popular really. Though it's worth noting any DT archetypes probably won't get support.
Joseph Young
Where is the banlist Where are new cards Where are spicy overlord techs Where are all goddamn promo reprints
Gavin Jackson
None of the shit besides the first one matters when Zoo is still around.
Liam Gutierrez
This week or next hopefully This week or next hopefully (V-Jump) In overlord decks duh Never. I want to think and hope KoA is saving shit for a super duper reprint pack but that probably isn't happening.
Owen Baker
>>Where are spicy overlord techs The OCG has been hyping up Eater of Millions as a way to get rid of True Dracos without triggering their effects, and to remove Denglong without allowing it to float
Except that second point is fucking retarded, because they can just chain Nine Pillars to Eater's effect and Denglong will float anyway, so I'm not sure why they're actively considering that as an option
Logan Garcia
Now you're speaking my language. I'm also currently working on a meme deck that uses the new Cyberdark support, but it'll take me awhile to figure it all out.
