magic damage ember is probably the most significant thing EE has done for dota, and also the most destructive. Never has a hero been so thoroughly dumpstered as when ember went magic damage. Both builds are shit, but if you go magic you need to end the game in 45 minutes and even then you will be hard countered by pipe. Magic ember is badPuck with the exception of being a better counter to TA.

you need to play him as a fight controller, the only problem is that he needs so many items compared to other heroes that frankly he's unnecessary in most drafts

he's okay imo, magic build can fight and shit out more damage earlier, and it's harder to kill due to the way you itemize. right click build is situationally okay against shit like illusion heroes and meepo if the game will go later i guess (but dont pick ember into meepo anymore, a good meepo can completely run you over early on)

get maelstrom/mjolnir as your first straight up damage item no matter what way you build him.
