There's only a battlechest now which contains vanilla and all expansions except the current one. That's like 10 or 15 dollars. It also has a month free time. Legion is on sale for 30, unless it's ended.

You can't unless it's someone you know and even then, there's still a chance they decide to compete with other pug DPS because of muh ego. All that matters is the meters and the overall damage they do in the dungeon. You can avoid it as a tank for the most part by pulling less or even asking them to CC some mobs and pulling them away. Tough luck on those pulls like slimes at DHT though.

It was a thing for a year because there was a shortage in some element used for whatever is sophisticated version of that drug.
