Looks good on the right car. I prefer bright colors for flashy stuff.

It's too "look at me". Ferrari's can only really pull it off.

mazda's soul red looks really good in person

I like bright colours on cheap cars, and dull colours on expensive ones.

Flameblow
Flameblow

best color. Some makers do red better than others like Ferrari and Mazda.

What I never understood was the fascination with yellow as a color that wasn't a bus. Now THAT'S a "please give me attention" ugly color.

Same thing, yellow is good on the right car.

I love loud, shouty sports and muscle cars.
I just wish GM's "bright red" of the 90's was a better quality paint. The clearcoat is flaking off.

Red always looks good, but I’ve heard that flashy colors lose their charm after you’ve owned them for a while, is that true?

Pretty much this. Meme colors for disposable shitboxes, restrained colors for nice rides.

that's why my ferrari is gray

I want dark green not lime not army green dark green. Why the fuck is this so hard for car makers to figure out? They existed in the 90's, it's not like we never figured out how to make the color.

Fried_Sushi

They don't. They make subsequent boring colors even more boring tough

Red dodge rams, they look gud. All the old ass rams are faded red trucks, why aren't rams red?

I'd love to see Mazdas Soul Red (of GJ 2013-) on my 2004 GG 6 which had a nice but much worse Velocity Red (not mine, it's blue)

Gay color for faggots that need attention. I can't remember the last time I saw something other than a stock Mustang or a Ferrari in red.

Emberburn

yep, Ferraris and maybe one or two Lambos & McLarens can do red well, but there are some cars that only work well in 2 or 3 colours, red not being one of them. i also find people that disagree about this sort of thing usually have really fuckin weird tastes in colour combinations. what's the colour equivalent of being tone deaf?

TurtleCat

Too dark for me; I like my blues bright and/or light. I did own a BMW in eggplant tho, dark purples are cool, bright purples are trash.

Red only works for sporty looking cars. A red civic draws attention to the fact that you're poor

Bright colors dont really do it for me. Unless theyre on porsches. I prefer subtle cars. Europe was basically dark blue black silver white. Only red cars were like alfas. Maybe a yellow ferrari or lambo, but some orange shit the japs were trying out too.

It's alright. It's basically the last real stand against the living nightmare that is every single car being white, silver, black or "so dark it might as well just be black".

I wish there were more green cars.

Agree here. Thinking of getting an ND in red
