Gunlance isn't as bad as people meme it to be but it's pretty bad. All the resource management and constant sharpening seems utterly superfluous when compared to the regular lance. All they had to do was reduce its sharpness degredation and scale the shells just the same as any other weapon.

It could work, but Stories already has a rather inconsistent framerate so it'd need to be on something stronger than the 3DS

I tried apex rajang and I died in the first 10 fucking seconds

the framerate isn't super bad outside the blight sections.
most overworld areas seem 28-30 fps, and they're quite large.
not arguing for the 3ds though, i don't want another MH on a handheld.

2: the run they record is probably the 1000th run of the day

Making shelling not affect sharpness might not make the weapon more powerful but at least it will make it more attractive to players.

I don't give a fuck about the objective power of weapon as long as I am having fun with it (unless its like triple the hunt time or some crazy shit) but even with sharpness and/or sharpener GL is fucking hassle to play with. Plus the coolest part of the weapon I can emulate with Wyvern shots.
