Should I play Uta 2 on Normal or Hard? Are there any differences in terms of extras, save import or trophies?
Played Uta 1 on Hard 1 and some of the last missions fucked me up, namely the one in the village with masked undead, red blobs and last boss. Not sure how much harder/easier the difficulty levels in Mask of Deception are in comparison.
I'm autistic about not losing, so if the troops retaining their earned exp after enough retries thing is still there, I won't be taking advantage of it.

Got the Talisman/Diary/Pendant/Crystal Skull (each item leads to the other)

right now my roadblocks are:
No Bomb (need to go to an area from the Tower of the Goddess)
No Time Stop lamp

This game becomes a nightmare when you need to nagivate all the backroo areas.

Uta2 and 3 are a LOT easier than Uta1.
I know exactly which missions you mean from Uta1 and can tell you that there is no mission in either of the successors that even remotely qualify as being equally difficult.

Uta3 gets a bit annoying at the end because all fucking enemies have passive regeneration or high heal spells.

I'd play both in hard. Uta2 was pretty easy in general no matter the difficulty besides some postgame stuff, and Uta3 is pretty well balanced in hard and I found it to be pretty fun there without feeling frustrating or bullshit like T^4 sometimes did.
