It's funny how important those hit sounds actually are. I don't like those with Jack, but it's just one character. One reason why I don't like SFV are the block sounds.

Try sidestepping them left in practice mode. Record common situations like 2,1 on hit db1_ff1.

Only ws4 will frametrap after db1 on hit, ssr to avoid it, jab to beat other ws moves or backdash and watch for fc df1+2,1+2, which you should be able to block on reaction.

Make sure you're not letting him get away with unsafe stuff on block, df2, ws1, ws2,1, df1,1 ff1+2 are some things you want to punish every time.

Pressure him with lots of quick pokes and high crush moves. Jack has a hard time dealing with that because his df1 is so slow.

thanks, i barely ssl at all in the match i just had. my main problem is that the player would dash forward and whiff a df2. i play kazuya so i was able to ewgf punish it most of the time but his habit was to do another df2 IMMEDIATELY after so if i fucked up my whiff punish id get launched. that put me on tilt and then he just fucked me up with ff1 db1 switching and command throwing me.

just play who you want. Paul is popular but he's not very common after like blue ranks.

One thing you can do against players who like to do bait whiffs like that is just get in your optimal range and prepare to punish the second attack when you see them whiff the "bait".

electrics and kbd are opposite motions though just adjust your grip very quickly. it takes practice.

- good keepout tools
- great whiffpunish tools (qcb2,4 and f4,1)
- nice safe pokes
- nice low (qcb3)

cons
- no standard hopkick
- not so many crushing moves
-JU is harder to use than standatr df2 (but not as hard as electric)
-some executuion stuff, even outside taunt (You have to example learn to do qcb3 so that sway does not show)
-KBD must be done correctly.

Bryan needs to have good movement becouse he does not have good panic button.

df+1 is good for its follow-ups but he's otherwise lacking in strong pokes. he also doesn't do much in the way of crush moves. i agree with fab's assessment that feng is basically the same character but better in every way.
