Reminder that this game had the best voice cast. Everyone that returned from Adventure had improved notably, and new voices were well cast with the exception of Charmy.

A select few stinkers doesn't change the fact that Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, Omega, Vector and Espio had their best voice actors with their best performances. And even though Tails is admittedly annoying, his voice actor is still better than the Adventure one.

I'm not sure, but it could be possible that they knew it was the last performance. Or it could just be that after so many years of voicing the characters, they just got the voices down really well. Another thing that can't be understated is the voice director. Even one of the best voice actors can sound bad with a bad voice director and vice versa.

Also it wasn't the last time the Adventure themes were used. For some reason Believe in Myself is in Lost World.
