Which one worked better in history ? Which one do you prefer ?

truthful answer: democracy

meme answer: authoritarianism

truthful answer: authoritarianism

meme answer: authoritarianism

all I'm going to say is that when you're a poor third world shithole where nothing ever works and transnational corporation xyz and the CIA can buy off all of your politicians authoritarianism has it's benefits. people don't wake up one day and say "hey wouldn't it be swell to be ruled by an unelected strongman that can kidnap me in the middle of the night if I criticize him" for no reason.

but nothing ever works in third world shitholes.
you guys don't count

do you have a bigger chat?
what does filtered democracy mean?

Liberal democracy is the single best and most successful form of government there's ever been.

Depends on the time and place.

The main determiners are technology and preexisting institutions. Liberal democracy has been well suited in Western European countries and Anglospheric countries, but has failed largely in other states such as Brazil, Czechoslovakia, Russia, South Africa, etc. It was assumed that once China's nominal GDP hit a certain point, liberal democracy would magically come, but it never did and they're doing just fine under a one party rule

Liberal democracy like all other historical forms of government will eventually become obsolete, and in particular, it will probably crash abruptly. Cocaine is good for destressing when you first try it but it fucks you up after a while

>Cocaine is good for destressing when you first try it but it fucks you up after a while

But going for a walk is destressing both when you try it at first and after a while, it even makes you healthier in the long run.

So I guess liberal democracy must be here to stay, huh.

Really makes you think how analogies are for people who can't form a proper argument.

What shade of green is the USA in OP's pic?

>Czechoslovakia
what? What's wrong with Czech or Slovak democracies?

>transnational corporation xyz and the CIA can buy off all of your politicians authoritarianism has it's benefits
Fuck no, stronkmen are the easiest to CIA due to corruption. Just bribe them and they'll fall your way.

How is that even a question? Look at the map you posted. The richest countries in which the people enjoy the best quality of life are all democratic. With the small exception of several Arab countries rich on oil. When we see Americans and Germans emigrating in massive numbers to Russia or China, then we'll talk.

>implying liberal democracy leads to wealth
South America is at best two pegs above Africa in terms overall wealth
India is significantly poorer and less developed than China
Gulf states are way wealthier than eastern Europe as a whole

Stupid oversimplification

India also started it's economic reforms a decade after china and the government is regulated by checks and balances to ensure that it doesn't exceed it's mandate.

>South America
>Liberal
>Democracy

>Gulf states are way wealthier than eastern Europe as a whole
The gulf states are rich on oil and Eastern Europe was communist until 26 years ago. That's a retarded example.

>France
>Italy

26 years almost as long as what south korea took to develop

yes and South Korea was liberally funded by the US.

It still failed to develop nuclear weaponry unlike Best Korea

buying nuclear "tech" from pakistan which stole it from the west isn't developing.

And yet, democracy fails to work in muslim and many African countries, due to mixed populations and/or minorities that other part of country want to wipe out, which leads to a need of authoritarian government that holds those that could chimp out under control.
