Of all the characters in FGO, why Nasu chose Meltlilith to be one of the few key Servants to take down a Beast?

You have Gil, Solomon, Arthur (his enemy escaped before being finished off though), and then Meltlilith. Seems weird that a clone of a Nasu's OC, who also was a minor villainess, took such an important role that I thought it was just for very important, powerful, and iconic mythological/legendary/biblical/historical characters.

How is Lancer Arty Alter?

I've got 5 stars out the wazoo and oodles of great Lancers, so gameplay isn't necessarily a large factor.

Would Odysseus even be allowed to be summoned as Archer? I get the feeling he'd be downplayed by putting him in a class he's not very strong in like Saber or Lancer and say "he's best as Archer or Rider" because Nasu likes screwing over Greeks.

Archer or maybe rider if they want him to wank him. But since he's a greek he'll be an assassin or lancer cause he is simply to dangerous to allow access to his strengths.

I used him as my main damage dealer and he worked great, then again my Holmes is 10/5/10.

I mentioned that Gil, Solomon, and Meltlilith were the key characters to take down Beasts. The main ones who put into motion the plan to take them down and extremely indispensable for that to happen. I didn't type that they did it alone or that they didn't receive support from others.

Not to mention a immunity barrier and a NP that kills any sapient thing that can feel desire or pleasure. If merged with the Earth's core, just to keep up with her, Guda would have required a power to take down more than 40 demon pillars per second.
