Disclaimer: You need patience above all. Getting rich requires discipline but in your state the first year or two will be hell.

Get a min wage / shitty job and use the money, along with free online education to get qualifications. Pick a field and find out what tests you can take to improve your standing as an applicant (it can even be as simple as getting proof of being proficient at Excel). Learn any skill you can that you can put on a resume without needing to spend much money. Programming is a good example.

Once you get your foot in the door in terms of getting an entry level job it's simply a matter of being a more outstanding employee. Realistically you'll have a boring office job, and your only real hope is to overachieve. Consistently finish ahead of schedule. Perform at a standard higher than is expected. If you do this while maintaining a good relationship with coworkers and your boss, you should be able to secure a raise or promotion every 2-3 years.

Once your wages are above average and you find stability you can either continue to pursue higher positions, try to work on your education or branch out to a similar occupation with the job experience you have. Assuming you have the ability to stay dedicated to improvement, there's no reason why you can't break six figures within 10 years.

After that it's a matter of smart investing and saving that'll have you rich (or at least very well off) by the time you're 45.

Forgot to mention a GED as well, I did the British system of high school but I'm assuming the GED is a good starting point for you.

Ger your GED and drivers license, find some police department that hires people with only a high school degree. The police usually arent hard to get into and take most people who can pass the academy exams and its a lot better than some shitty dead end job

My first bad working experience was so bad that now only the thought of having job makes me ill. OP, I read that you're in Canada. Go tree planting. It is your best option. If you follow this advice you may hate me but you will never regret it.

You spend the spring and summer camping in the deep forest with 40 other young people (read: dirty smelly rich hippies) rejecting the life of wage cuckery. At 6am, you get up, eat an awesome breakfast, get in your truck/schoolbus/helicopter and get dropped off on a lumber cutblock where you are generally left alone to work as hard as you want. You get paid per tree, and you plant thousands of trees a day. Then at 6pm you get back to camp and eat an awesome dinner and get to enjoy your free ~3-4 hours before you have to go to sleep and do it all again til the night off.

On the night off everyone gets shitfaced either in camp or in town. The stuff of legends.

I made $10k in 4 months my first season and I sucked. Most people in my camp averaged $300+ per day. The work is hard both physically and psychologically and will be the war-surrogate rite of passage you need to stop being a boy and become a man.

I came to post this. Any idiot can make good money by becoming a tradesman. The downside is that its not a get-rich-quick scheme and it involves getting your hands dirty and doing donkey work for the first few years, so it doesn't appeal to your typical workshy Veeky Forums neet who feels he deserves money to fall into his lap.

I was legit gonna write an essay to help you but lmao. I had friends who barely showed up to class, didn't even have a backpack, smoked a bunch of weed constantly and played games all day, and they still passed. Go get your fucking GED. Then you can get an absolutely terrible job at a warehouse or something and begin investing your money or make yourself stand out and get promoted.
