I've been playing it for the last few hours. I think it's great (bar the Halo 5 spawn issues, but you can still manipulate the system and if you play 5, you're used to it)

no sprint is such a fucking relief. the maps are manageable again and players constantly get in real 1v1s with no interfering bullshit like thruster packs to get you out of trouble. if you're in trouble, it's because you fucked up.

So I just put my old copy of halo 3 in my xbone, it installed and all that, I start the game and the sound stutter every 5 seconds , wtf is that normal?

I played for 2 rounds and spent most of the 2nd round getting sniped upon spawning and whiffing with the sword.

Really it was that last match that's getting to me. After getting 'lolnope'd off the Elephant for the fourth or fifth time after a successful boarding (I mean holy shit how did I not get a single kill I had one of you in kiling range every time) was feeling sufficiently bullied.
It wasn't even you guys fault, I just felt that round cheated me.
The other round wasn't bad though, I did manage to infect a couple guys.

Halo 3's netcode has always been a bit shite, but things aren't helped by the fact that there's a bunch of third worlders searching.

The ideal way to play 1-3 has always been through LAN or a closed network. It can be a hassle to set up, but It's worth it.
5 not featuring these options is truly a step back in the traditional regard, but the use of dedicated servers provides the smoothest online Halo experience by far.
