I finally got around to playing malth after holding a grudge for pissing me off pre-nerf. Pretty good, but his talent tree is borderline medivh.

Also seems a bit unhealthy for the game, since he's by far the best tank melter (rip tychus), and... hell, he's pretty good at melting anything, really. Similar situation to how genji is best at cleaning up/snowballing (rip li ming).

It'd be better if they only penalized players that played less than 90% of a game, and still were DC'd by the end of the game. I think that would be more fair to everyone, and would still be effective in warding off intentional DC'ers.

Never pick dark bargain it is literal garbage that does the same fucking job as healthstone but with a way worse downside.
Fel armor can be situationally better than healthstone depending on the enemy comp, obviously.
Never take any W talents, harvest life included. Channeling that shit will usually just get you killed in teamfights. You're better off trusting your support, spamming Q, and only using drain life in 1v1s or vs creeps.

Darkness within is weak shit that's only useful for combining with rain of destruction, but rain of destruction is too weak and is basically never-pick tier compared to the amazing ult that is Horrify.
Affliction is a godlike power spike if you took E quest at 1, otherwise Hellfire is... decent.

While i'm at it I'll go over other talents too:

Corruption if you're not a shitter and expect to get stacks reasonably quickly
flame quest is almost nothing but still better than literally actually nothing, so take this if you don't expect to complete corruption quest based on your allied+enemy team

consume soul if you will fight near lanes to eat creeps from, lifetap otherwise

usually hunger for power. if you need more heals AND you are doing E build (not Q build), bound by shadow is an option
