Left wing always evil

Why is everything bad always considered left-wing nowadays by political scientists? I swear to god, in 50 years it will be written in the history books that highly conservative corporations like the tobacco industry were "left-wing" just because they are seen as evil.

People see the evils of politics and always put them in the left, they see them as a square where everything bad is always leftist, when in reality it's like a globe, and if you go too far right, or left, you end up with insane political ideologies.

Drugs are left wing, prove me wrong.

>People see the evils of politics and always put them in the left
>People
>implying reactionaries are people

25 years rule.

Also please keep this kind of content on /pol/. You can already discuss it there, no need to post it here.

Depends on the drug. Krauts in WWII loved their amphetamines.

/pol/ never gives you any reasonable information or discussion though.

>implying reactionaries, Fascist, and National Socialist are left or right.
>implying they didn't create the third position because both Communism, Marx's Socialism, and Capitalism was their enemies

>implying the terms "left wing" and "right wing" don't come from the French estates general where the reactionaries were on the left side
>he doesn't realize that the distinction is about how much hierarchy society should have

By posting /pol/ shit here you encourage Veeky Forums to become /pol/.

If you want Veeky Forums to be a good discussion board, keep /pol/ on /pol/ and respect the rules. 25 years.

Left wing advocates for the destruction of all human ethics and virtues in favor of hedonistic nonsense.

Technically my post was pretty vague, was sort 50% his and 50% /pol/, my post can be as Veeky Forums as you want it to be.

The reason why we no longer have child laborers, and have a minimum wage , 8 hour workdays, social benefits and middle class and labor rights are all because of the left.

The left has done far more for humanity than the selfish, egotistical right has ever accomplished.

The right is for greedy rich people, racists, and the uneducated.

Hitler had all that + anti smoking campaigns.
Third position yet again proven to be best position.

Just look at the posts in this thread and watch yourself what kind of posting you encourage.

Lots of implyings, radical one liners, no source whatsoever for anything, no kind of place for discussion.

What is your case? The Reactionaries, Fascist and National Socialist all rejected the idea of left vs right poltics as well as the First and Second Position. If you're making the case that they're right wing for having a hierarchy, I will make the case that they are neither right nor left by limiting the hierarchy through economics.

autism

In all seriousness, why do we take the right/left dichotomy serious? They only have any meaning relative to eachother, so all the claims about one of them being bad by people who identify with the other are pretty inane.

English is not my native tongue, so I might be wording this pretty oddly, but isn't it kind of surreal in believing 'the left' or 'the right' is inherently bad? If to you it seems self-explanatory and logical for your side to be right, why does the other side have followers? Is everyone on the other side scum? If you see it as 'good vs evil' why are people willingly picking evil?

Left: Complete government control over its subjects.

Right: Complete liberty and freedom.

Most of us: Caught in the middle.

If the left is synonymous with reformers then you'd be right. If you equate the left with modern socialists and communists then you'd be wrong.

Left wing politics is very much capable of producing poverty and tyranny.

>limiting the hierarchy
>fascism or national socialism
>implying these ideologies aren't just monarchism with a moderately better administrative structure and moderately worse succession scheme

Left and right have meant many things throughout history. Generally right wingers are reactionaries of some sort who want to restore authoritarian government and/or the "natural" hierarchy that existed prior to the democratic reforms. Left wingers tend to seek "natural" equality and progress by whatever means they find palatable.

The American right is special in that our nation doesn't have a history rooted in nobility and kings, but began as a l"eft wing" rebellion against the political order of their day. Our reactionary movements look back to a libertarian society instead of a monarchy.

>Yes, we've been allying with conservatives, monarchists etc. through the history and we've been constantly fighting against socialists, socdems and communists but we're third position and not right wing :^)))

Which is why I defined my terms.

Funny, I see the other way around.
"Right-wing" has almost become an insult these days.

I was thinking the same, but OP has probably been looking at /pol/, a cesspool of reactionaries.

Your definition assumes the American point of view but doesn't even account for all American uses of the term right. Your definition is misleading. "Right wing" in America is used to name both the authoritarian and the libertarian tendency which are seemingly opposed, but united by their reactionary or preservationist character.

>limiting the hierarchy
By providing economic means to allow young couples to have a family, house, reduced loans, and afford child care instead of having to move up an economic hierarchy to be able to afford such things. Gives every man and woman (woman if desired) a job because they believed that jobs created capital over Capitalism's ideal of capital creating jobs, which took out a merit of needing to have competency to hold a job.
>fascism or national socialism
Have you read any of their works?
>implying these ideologies aren't just monarchism with a moderately better administrative structure and moderately worse succession scheme
Actually, Fascism would hold elections every 5 years to say Yes or No to the current leader. If Yes, the leader stayed in power. If No, they held elections. As for National Socialism it would be until the Leader's death and then they hold elections.
