Tfw fell for the "move out" meme

>tfw fell for the "move out" meme

I didn't get a gf
I didn't make new friends
I payed thousands in (((rent))) and utilities and food

I'm moving back in in May. If I'm going to be a robot at least I'll be rich.

yeah this is what's keeping me from moving out

zero benefits
many costs
lots of hassle

>robot
wrong board m8

Welcome to the "still living with parents" master race

It really is such a meme. Boomers and normies telling kids who make 10/hr or college grads with thousands in debt to move out, because they bought a mustang and house with cash at 19

Only if you have psycho parents or single mom. Steady family, you should live at home at least till 25

but you gained acceptance by society's irrational meme standards of what it means to be an adult :^)

Oh boy it's the thread of r9k kids again

Try r9k

Yeah that's fine and dandy in certain situations, I had to pay 600$ a month in rent to sleep in a small shitty room at my parents. I bought my own food because I didn't want to eat ramen and hot dogs everyday. There are benifits to not living with your parents, for me it was freedom to be able to do whatever I wanted in my own place and the fact that I pay 50$ a month more for rent to live in a decent apartment and only have to pay cable bill the woman takes care of the rest of expenses and makes me dinner and shit. Way better deal

TIME TO BE A BIG BOY user!

A real adult has no savings, uses a $700 phone on a 24 month "contract" and drives a BMW or similar, financed on credit.

mommy dont want you back either

LOL so true,
Who else here bought a huge house for there parents n move in with them while making tons of money n going around the world to fuk girls.

U should only move out when u decide on ur base of operation

I think it IS a meme, user. The housing cost/income ratio has gone out of sorts, as well as the cost of college. I used to pay $100/month for awesome health insurance.

People a little older than me bought houses for 20-50k "back in the day" but incomes have increased very little or gone down in two decades where I live. All of that shit is now incredibly fucked.

At least you don't have a bitchy wife and a stubborn kid, and fuckall for savings, while paying a monthly ransom for a shitty old rental.

Move back in, start saving shekels, come up with a plan.

>When I finally get laid, people will look at me differently and I wont be afraid to talk to girls
Nope
>When I move out it'll be awesome, I can bring bitches home every night and I'll feel so independent!
Nope
>When I get a REAL job people will finally respect me when they see how far I've come
>Nope
>When I wear these fancy clothes people will treat me differently
>Nope

Seriously, unless you have a massive issue with being at home, such as parents always fighting with you or asking you to leave, hordes of girls being turned off by your living arrangement, lifestyle being constrained beyond tolerance or the likes, there's quite literally NO reason to move out.

> Independence
Wouldn't trade drinking and playing video games on my couch, or jacking it wherever, or inviting Tinder sluts over, or the knowledge that I'll come home to a clean quiet house with my stuff exactly how I left it for ANY amount of money.
> It's not the expensive
My rent + utilities is 7k a year. Yea, it would be nice to have an extra 7k to invest, but I'm not a poor fag so it barely matters
> You aren't seen as an adult
This matters less to me, but undeniably by American standards if you live at home past 20 you are still a child.
> It's fun inviting friends to your castle
There's something visceral about having YOUR space. You can live in the basement and pay your parents rent and make believe it's yours, but it isn't.
> Freedom
I can do whatever or say whatever and I'm not afraid of the consequences. If my parents are acting childish I'll tell them so, if my dad starts belligerently arguing with me over politics I'll call him an idiot. You needs are the true slaves. I pity you with all my heart.

>My rent + utilities is 7k a year.

I live in Lincoln Nebraska, so I rent a 940 sq ft house in a good neighborhood for $610.

Yeah but you live in Nebraska

I pay my parents $200 a week for rent. I never leave my bedroom and I am also a virgin desu.

Haven't lived at home since i was 18 im 26 now. My girlfriend of 4 years bought a house with her brother last year and im living with her for a few hundred bucks a month. Her grandma just died and left her half million that shes going to buy us a house with. Not to mention i have alot of friends and my girlfriend and I go to swinger clubs and partys and i get my dicked sucked all the time (no full swap).

Ill be living rent free for the rest of my life with the girl i love and blowjobs from girls i don't.

How do you cope?

at least he is living user

Fuck, I'm 18 and was planning on moving out the moment I finished high school.

I've got two online businesses rolling and will get certified in personal training, with thousands saved up, so should I be good?

Honestly I'm leaving just to pull bitches all the time, I literally get cock blocked at home and my small town is shit for getting laid.

LOL
I moved out with my gf and we split the (((rent))) but it was still way worse than having a basement to ourselves in the parents home, if that option would be available. Literally throwing money at (((them)))

you can get a handjob or bj from an asian girl way cuter than any white girl for like 150 bucks.

tfw immigrants ruined everything as planned by the jews to make socialism look like the only way to solve anything

>le labor market is overflooded with constant imports of foreign humans, naturally keeping wages low, so see goyim the free market is bad we need socialism so brown people we brought and You can get your fair share of the pie!

...

>not having your own apartment in your parents big house

>he has to live in an " apartment " in his parents house
>doesn't just have his own house in his parents villa

who /basement suite/ here?
>tfw only pay mummy $100/month

>How do you cope?
How do you cope with the girl you love blowing niggercock?

no one cares about your obese desperate gf

>be boomer
>quit high school
>marry sweetheart at 18
>get good paying union job at union factory
>buy cars and houses by age 21
>start having a family by 23

>be millennial
>raised to be an idiot with participation trophies and helicopter parents
>autism worsens with vidya and anime
>get saddled with shitload of school debt because college is the only answer for everything apparently. fuck the trades they tell you.
>competitive job market. you're lib arts degree ain't gonna do shit.
>rent and hosing is sky high and getting worse. wages do not keep up with cost of living except for 1%'ers
>tfw when no money, no friends, no qt pi gf, no home, no independence.

its the college you can just flunk it and be casual about it and they dont give a fuck they just want your money. a trade or even just a job you have to take serious and they wont take shit like being late constantly or being slack at the tasks.

So college is like a pillow, as long as you pay them you and your parents can keep telling everyone " your going to college! so successful!" regardless of how well you are doing or even what subject you are majoring.

you wouldn't believe the fist flinging tantrums college kids throw when you tell them this shit either

Get a load of the poor fag lmao im 22 and been living alone since 17 i never have less that 5k cash on me

my brother is like this, our parents pay for him to go to college, I meanwhile work a labor job at a warehouse. So while I have 4k in savings, he is 2.5k in debt and taking some shitty writing course but he is the one acting all proud " i go to college " and parents get to say " my son goes to college "

what a society

26 year old accountant here and still live at home. I pay the cable and water bill for my parents, but otherwise my income is mine. I'm also an only child, so eventually I'll get this house for free.

Every situation is different, but just to address your points from my personal POV:

>Independence
Meh, can't say I really care. My parents are pretty chill. I can walk around the house in my boxers for all they care. I would masturbate around them obviously, but I just wait until they leave the house for that. And they rarely touch anything in my room and if they do, who cares?

>Girls / friends
Yeah, that sounds like it would be kind of tough, but I'm a shy, physically-unattractive man. So I don't have any friends or girls. At least I don't have to waste money to not have friends and girls.

>You aren't seen as an adult
Couldn't care less.

>Not that expensive
But much more expensive than paying a few small bills while living at home.

You're supposed to move out with roommates so you pay less rent and have default friends that live with you.

They aren't wrong though. College graduates statistically earn more over their lifetime than those without degrees. Your brother could always be the exception to the rule though.

College gets a bad rap here, but it's not anyone's fault but their own if they choose to not go after a marketable degree. Even that being the case, having just any degree will open doors.

I also wouldn't act all hidey ho about labor either. Better go for a trade and take care of your body, I come from a family of tradesman and while they've made good money it required overtime and stress on their bodies.

I apprenticed for awhile and there's nothing wrong with it but blue collared culture isn't for me. I liked my crew but mentally it was unsatisfying and physically hard on the body. I'd rather work in the office and work my body out out of my own desire. Glad I went back and finished my degree, best decision I've made so far financially.

an excellent career that is often overlooked is law enforcement or prison guard work. Sounds tough but it is a fairly EASY profession, massive overtime pay, retirement with pension after 20 years, overall a great gig.

*would not masturbate

Oh yea you definitely and it's not even among the most dangerous jobs and you aren't always going to patrol if you work up. I'd rather not deal with the trash of the country though lol. Jobs aren't always easy to find but networking is key as always.

as someone who lived with many different roommates before moving back in, FUCK THAT
even if theyre not stoner slobs
fuuuuuck that
