I think that bullshit C&D was less that they plan on porting it themselves, and more just being shitter-shattered at how people are shitting on Memery while praising CoM, especially on the slav side of things.

No, I remember way before that C&D, months ago or maybe even more, I saw the Misery PR guy Jasper or someone else acknowledge CoM and said that they maybe considered porting it themselves.
My memory is pretty muddy though and I'm a dumbass so take this with a grain of salt.

The only thing I've read that I think they went overboard on was the severe nerf to mutant parts which is easy to fix. Anything to make CoC not piss easy is welcomed as long as they don't go full-memery.

It's straight up memery shit of anything you sell is worthless, but anything you buy is insanely expensive. The only thing that still sells decently is artifacts, so have fun with (1) semi-viable way of making money, oh, except you'll need to literally find 40+ low-tier artifacts to buy that one mid-tier set of armor.

I'm not exaggerating, it's a disaster and it needs a complete overhaul at this point.

Some more """interesting""" things about 1.5. Remember how traders paid different amounts for different items? Like how you could sell your mutant parts to Ecologists who would pay more than some random asshole? Yeah, no, that's gone. Now everyone gets their prices from mutant_parts.ltx, which is a flat 0.4, 0.2 (0.6/2=0.3), or 30% of base value!

So lets run through the mutant parts (found in items_monster.ltx) and see how much they sell for...

Bloodsucker Jaw : 500*0.3 = 150RU
Boar Leg : 100*0.3 = 30RU
Chimera Tooth : 750*0.3 = 225RU
Chimera Claw : 500*0.3 = 150RU
Dog Tail : 100*0.3 = 30RU
Flesh Eye: 100*0.3 = 30RU
Pseudodog Tail : 300*0.3 = 90RU
Snork Leg : 300*0.3 = 90RU
Snork Hand : 250*0.3 = 75RU

The fix for looping sounds was posted not long ago in the ZRP thread. Its a single line change.

For some reason the SEVA's price doubled while the stats seems to be worse. They may have gone full-misery and unfucking this might even take longer than tweaking 1.4.22.

SSP-99M is ~172499RU, which translates into roughly 575 Pseudogiant Hands, assuming you managed to knife them all and expend zero RU on healing/repairs/ammo. I honestly don't know what the fuck they were thinking with this.

Discounts nerfed and goodwill required is doubled.
Very slight buff to artifact selling and some slight nerf/buff to artifact cost.
Repair factor lowered to .70 from 1.35 and no nerfs to the repair kits so cheaper repairs.
Weapon drop condition stayed the same and weapon ammo drop except for the RNG magazine is the same.
Weapons still fairly cheap.

Since I have this downloaded I might as well do a test run tonight.

At least changing the prices is easy. I'm definitely changing the mutant part cost and sell modifiers. But I'm waiting to see the next patch that they're going to still be releasing.

Personally I like the stashes in the ranger station in zaton. The ones that you have to balance on a pipe and hop roofs to get.

If I'm going to guess they probably wanted to keep the vodka reward, but instead of keeping the reward_item = vodka + the random_reward they just added the vodka to the random_reward list. If that's not the reason then the posts above mine are correct.

2.2 has been good to me so far. Consistent predictable chug after playing for a half hour, but with a restart you are good to go for another half hour... The encounters seem much more manageable now but its prob because of better avg. fps...

Overall—and some medicine I have that I thought I would have needed at some point—the whole trip net me a cool 35-45k. Some 20k to Beard, 10k to Owl, and 3-7k to the medic.

But either way. I'd say this was a fantastic haul.

The age-old question, SEVA suit or exoskeletal and why?

Decided on upgrading to a VSS. Picked up the Tide, and upgraded it. Gonna retire the old Lynx, but she will be kept safe in my personal stash.

Last update for the night. After going back to Jupiter, I went and helped Strider get in with Duty. Came back to find my stash has been emptied, thanks Snag.

So I went over to go deal with that... However turns out that there were like five freedom fighters over there, and one guy was looting the two bandits over the injured Snag.

I killed all of them, gave Snag a medkit and shot him as he got up, the filthy bastard. Took my shit back, and sold the Duty suit I was given along with the 100% condition helmet, gun, and Soul artifact and some smaller stuff for a total of 30k. Sold other stuff but give or take only about 2-4k out of that.

It's been pretty grand so far, but have yet to use the Tide.
