You can, you have to time it really well, using the med kit or first aid will usually give you the victory if done at the right time.

Why does this game feel so fucking clunky and awkward to play? Even fucking ARMA feels better than this.

Scar is good for bursting, basically the easier to use, but less damaging cousin of the AK in my eyes
M4 is decent at everything when kitted, but doesn't really excel at anything imo

Well the M4 has the same dps as an AK but is generally easier to handle and has much higher bullet velocity, the downside being lower bullet damage so headshots don't count for as much, which is the AK's big dick
The M4 is also a lot shorter which means it'll get stuck in doorframes less

Scar has the highest stability by far, making it easier to just get hits in full auto, it's also the best for third person shooting, while still being among the highest bullet velocity weapons it just works really well. For full dps you should get another gun, but dps isn't really everything.

M16 also technically has the highest dps, but only in burst-fire which is pretty difficult to control and afaik it also has worse handling stats.

M4 offers great short-midrange damage while still having the bullet velocity for long range. However thanks to zeroing the bullet velocity isn't as bad as it could be, you still need to lead more with the AK though.
