how much of each you need depends on your enemy's composition, any synergies you might want in your own team, and the map you're on.

Keep in mind not all warriors are tanks, don't draft Sonya or D.va as a solowarrior and expect to do well

tank doesn't just mean warrior
if you pick solo chen/leoric/dva/sonya you will lose because you have no cc/initiation

most specialists do damage too and basically fill the same slot as an assassin

it's okay to have 2 tanks or 2 supports.

the minimum shit you need every game is:
tank, healer, at least 1 range dps, 2 wildcards
also make sure you have waveclear. if your team picks garrosh lucio and jimmy then you technically fill those requirements but you still need some heroes with actual aoe damage to kill minions for you

blizz fucked something up royally so creeps never attempt to attack probius and gazlowe's turrets or murky's (fake) eggs
this means probius has to take hp damage to do camps when he previously didn't

there is nothing more satisfying than obliterating that disgusting gnome chromie and seeing her corpse go flying across the map

You'll get the most use out of garrosh and malthael. Stitches & brightwing are also solid.

Thrall is a more niche pick but still useful.

Artanis is silly good on battlefield of eternity and pretty okay on haunted mines. D.va is strong in double tank setups especially on maps where zoning is an important thing (bhb / infernal shrines).

Rag is pretty piss weak and plays like a glorified mage. Murky is a bad meme. Probius is a worse meme.

So overall Mal=Garry > Stitches=brightwing > artanis(if you like bruisers) ~= thrall (if you like melee solo laners) > d,va (if you *really* like doubletank) > murky > rag > probius.

going from -15 to 35 armor is a hell of a lot less effective than going from 0 to 50, and in any case NINE THOUSAND BURST DAMAGE LMAO would kill her even through the 50 armor

oh yeah and also global shadow fissure means hammer can pretty much never siege without boosters ready even if there are no enemy heroes nearby

my point is that it's probably the best value talent in a less than optimal scenario where you're going to get nuked either way, hard to make the most of that advanced artillery unless you're some stutterstep god

Against valeera I might take resistant but against kelthuzad I'd go for "more damage when unsieged" over "buff to an ability you should never use in teamfights"
