is there any way to increase fleet action points in ES2? Wasting my single attack on some 2-ship fleet that flees the system while the other fleet remains sieging me with nothing I can do about it is a real pain in the ass

Does the game make difference between Federations of empires with Populations of the same species and Federations between empires with different species?

This is the only Xenophobe VO line for joining a federation so no.

I started to play video games again, and I bought Endless legend before any of the expansions. Which DLCs do you guys recommend?

Also is Endless Space 2 worth getting into, even if I haven't played the first game?

All of them. All the races are good and the new content is all good too, so basically pick your poison: super units + super events, espionage and nothin' personnelers, expanded winter and moth nerds, and a complete naval/ocean system with Deep Ones. They all get really cheap during sales. The Forgotten Lore DLC is like 2 bucks and adds a quest for every minor civilization in the game, it's a pretty good deal.

Endless Space 2 is great and much better than ES1 imo, but if you have EL you might as well play that before you take the plunge there.

Wtf is with contingency? They just spawned 4 hubs, each with multiple fleets for a roughly combined power of 300K. I'm at 150K, the largest in the galaxy, and I can't even stop one of their hubs, much less the remaining 3, and neither can anyone else in the galaxy.

I enjoyed Stellaris quite a bit. Having said that, are the SPESS GAMES in the Stardock Humble Bundle any good? Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, Galactic Civilization 3 and Crusade, Offworld Trading Company, and Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation. Probably won;t play em right now, but $15 seems like a good deal for these alone, plus the other garbage it's packed with.

It's pretty worth it for this alone. 4X RTS hybrid. More focused on war and less on empire management and diplomacy. You can actually control ships in combat on this.

Needs a beefy computer to play. Similar to Supreme Commander. It's pretty fun.

pirate it, just like the rest of the dlc. That said, the dlc itself is pretty good. lots of various options to take in both civics and traits. I like slowly getting more and more upgrades as the game progress and creating better models, version 3 now builds almost twice as fast as the base model and costs 10% less maintance.

I think there are some battle cards that let you fight twice in a turn, with some penalty for the second battle.

Stack fleets or if your ships are strong enough, split them so your smaller fleet scares off the rascals while you engage the other one with the bigger fleet.

At any rate, I was going through the EL artbook today and I liked how they took a lot of Near East/Central Asia inspirations. Has the studio commented on what inspirations they took to make the ES2 factions? Has anyone visited the G2G forums? Are they safe?

Are Vampirilis for Vodyani and Venecians for Lumeris any indication? UE is obvious capitalistic USSR in spess with movie version of starship troopers, Sophons and Cravers are more or less standard sci-fi races.
