anyway, i just did a heroic dungeon for the first time and finished last or second to last in every fight as a sub rogue

How are frost mages in world pvp at 110?

At 101, I get two shot by melee my own level and my spells only tickle them. No amount of kiting fixes it.

While leveling before, I could 3 shot them. Why is it so different in legion?

No, the gap is because of immense stat bloat. A fresh 110 that just starts doing hc's will have less than a half of a 920+ guy's hp, and will do over 1 million less dps.

There are still some players, but nothing like in its glory days. If you're looking to get into a good MMO but tons of people, you should check Final Fantasy.

Considering I paid 60 bucks to boost a character tonight, and everyone else in the scenario was wearing boosted gear, I think this game is doing fine. Blizzard knows how to make money.

Also hearthstone is a very expensive game to play and a lot of people play it.

battlechest and legion which is probably 60USD if it's your first time playing on that account you can get the battlechest and get a free month
you won't have any heirlooms so you probably won't be able to get 5-6 max level characters so you probably have to buy another month of wow so that's 75USD so far with the 15 for a 2nd month
after the 2nd month you should have 3-4 max level characters that you can just farm the class hall missions for to get wow tokens with to never pay for sub again
