Accept the cycle, dear arisen

After getting everything from everfall in ps3 I figured I'd never have to do it again.
Then I started killing myself for unpurified shit after Daimon and thought I was done for real.

We need a happy merchant drawing of Madeline.

Fournival would be more apt and we could do more with him. Like telling the arisen that they are wrong.

>MORE FUN THAN A BARREL OF MONKEYS TIER
Fighter
Warrior
Sorcerer (quad casting)
Mystic Knight (melee with abyssal anguish)

>FUN TIER
Strider
Sorcerer (dual casting)

>OKAY TIER
Sorcerer
Assassin

>BORING TIER
Mage
Ranger
Mystic Knight (ranged with magick cannon)

>EVERYTHING DIES TOO FAST THERE'S NO TIME FOR FUN TIER
Magick Archer

should I farm 2 or 4 rings of perseverance yall? also anyone need rents on xbone?

Why would assassin be lower than fighter/strider though?

I found the urdragon

the real fun starts now

I want to tenderly fuck my pawn.

I don't know why but I have ridiculous luck with gear when I play hybrid vocations

>Urdragon
>fun
I tell ya hwat, that boy just ain't right

So for my Mage pawn,
High Comestion
High Levin
High Grapnel

High Anodyne
High Halidom
Holy Affinity

Would y'all prefer any changes?

Why do you have high anodyne? Also get ingle over comestion

Asche, we've been over this, buddy. It just won't work out. It's not a good idea. You need to calm down and find some other hole to stick your dick into before you become a turbosperg and doom yourself to eternal torment.

Pretty good. I don't hire mages anymore, but if I did, I'd hire yours based on their skill set alone.

>mage
>no anodyne
Might as well hire some other class.

To be fair, as the one who posted the set, the reason Mages are really hired in Bitterbutt is for Grapnel

Look I just don't see a downside ok. I get to mating press my pawn, I get to turn into nosferatu zodd, I get a bitching dungeon where everyone leaves me alone, I get to fuck my pawn.
There's no stopping me.

>thinks I mean absolutely no anodyne
No I meant /high/ anodyne. Anodyne is expected or a mage gets a skip, come on.

...

There needs to be more dogma art.

There was a drawfag in the old general that did pictures of pawns, anyone have any of them?

post and r8 Arisen's.

Oh, my bad. Why the fuck would you go for regular Anodyne, though? It's slow as molasses and it doesn't have persistent healing outside of its AoE. I can understand (and do encourage) skipping on Grand, but High?

Why no high spellscreen?

Some people have tried to argue that, but I absolutely disagree
High doesn't even take more than 1.5 seconds, heals faster, and has lingering heal

But when you turn into the store-bran Zodd, you no longer have control of yourself. Nothing you do is now under your own free will. Sure, you might get to fuck your pawn spoiler, you don't but then you also fuck over other Arisen who haven't done anything wrong.
Do you really want other slaves to the cycle to suffer more solely because of you?

>telling Arisen that goblins fear ice and fire both
>they toss you into the Brine

Did something change with grand and high? Back on the ps3, I remember high being the one to avoid because of its long ass cast time and minimal improvement over normal anodyne. Maybe it was Grand but this is seriously bugging me since I'm using a mage pawn

Forgot about that, honestly
Still running them through as a Sorc at the moment

The question is what to drop;
I suppose Halidom
It's a bit niche

The lower casting time means there's a good chance the Pawn will finish casting it before they change their mind and do something else.

>halidom
Eh depends. That's a real lifesaver since applebottom isle loves to shit out status on you. Spellscreen. Sides that Halidom offers the same offensive capabilities against the dead

It's barely any lower, and besides, if that were really a worry people would never run Sorcs, even in pairs
Just set them to Challenger/Mitigator primary so they fuck off behind you

How bad is curse, lads? Seems lots of sarcophagi afflict it and I used my one light cure.

IIRC, it lowers your stats for a little while, so you deal less damage, take more damage, and are more vulnerable to other status effects

But in all honesty, debuffs are negligible pre-Bitterblack
EXCEPT Petrify, and if I'm assuming you're new to the game, you'll sure as hell know when you've got that
It's quite rare, though

Does it wear off?

>Playing Ps4 Dragon's Dogma
>Think people will be smarter about their pawns this time
>Not a single person sits their pawns down and tells them to shut up more often.
FUCK

there's only like, two enemies who even deal petrify

Poison is pretty annoying visually as well

I actually like the chatter even if it is super repetitive

there's an option to completely turn off pawn chatter, user
you have no excuse to be bitching like this

I completely forgot about that. Probably dismissed it as covering up the text. I'm so sorry.

I thought comestion doesn't get any stronger when you upgrade it. Iirc only the length of the fire wall increases, and it's worse because the mage pawn will want to fullcast it every time.

I somewhat enjoy the chatter though; sure it gets repetitive, but they occasionally call out stuff I don't notice, very rarely though, and it makes it less tense in dark scary places.

What the fuck, Capcom

>actively coach my pawn on being more vocal
>just want the newcomers to get the "wolves hunt in packs, arisen!" Every 8 seconds experience

>bastion is flat damage reduction
I really wish I knew this back when I first started hard mode

I didn't post any art but I did draw my own pawn a long time ago. Resolution's a bit shitty because I had to download it from somewhere else because I decided to paint over the finished product, only to ruin it.

I'm post game, running around to see all the changes.
I wandered into the encampment near Cassardis and found a level 1 version of my pawn with no clothes/armor or weapons equiped to it. I can't hire him, he only says hello, no other options appear. W-What's going on here?

Pics or it didn't happen
Spoiler:
It didn't happen

Go back to the Shadow Fort where you fight the 3rd cyclops in the arena looking area. A surprise is waiting for you :)

He's gotta grab that notice board quest

there

Wait, so this is actually related to a quest? I'll get started on it then

Nah, instead of there being a 3rd cyclops it'll be a hydra.

it's not related to the pawn thing
the pawn thing is just a weird thing that just sometimes happens
people speculate it that when you first create the pawn, the base image is uploaded to the server

Ah, ok. I thought maybe something broke in the game or something. Thanks for letting me know user.

>having a blast with the game on the PS3 but only played as ranger and strider
>try mage and sorcerer out on the PS4
>lose all motivation to play
Doshiou? Strider again?

Switch to magic archer, might be more your speed

Mage and Sorcerer spells look great but I can't stand casting times so I just stick to melee classes for the main game, then go with mystic knight for magic cannon/abyssal anguish fun.

>user has created a Mr.Smith Pawn
>soon all any arisen will see when they enter the rift is that pawn naked
>shortly after when they start up the game again their arisen will be that lvl.1 no equipment pawn

Yeah there's a quest for the hydra fight. There's an image someone made, before it came out on pc, where someone made the Hydra leaving the quest behind for the arisen

I would fight Daimon barehanded for a chance at that ring.

>doing bbi
>suddenly out of rc
this is annoying.

What's more fun? Ranger or Strider?

oh... hi, what's going on in this thread?

Someone on /v/ told me you can do BBI at any level. Is that even true? Because I've also read a post where someone said they get fucked up in BBI at level 180.

it's possible to do it as soon as it's available, which is as early as right before you make your personal pawn
the problem is the fact everything in BBI has real high defenses, so you won't be doing much damage until probably after doing the main story

BBI expansion was originally an RC dump. Now that the game comes out bundles with BBI, new players are going to have a hard time using it because of few hires and even fewer RC drops.

It's possible as long as you know exactly what you're doing.

EYEBROWS

Eyebrows look like shit, change them to a darker brown color if you want them to not look bad. Also if you want that vibrant of hair you need to darken the skin so the contrast isnt so jarring, doing so will also help the freckles not stand out so much against the skin.

user have you never seen a real ginger?

Yes and they look like shit.

Yes in my bathroom mirror every morning but that doesn't change the fact that those eyebrows look like decorative yarn and the freckles look like coffee splatter.

>failed a quest because there was a bug with it
I was following Julien and he was stuck in the wall instead of taking the turn to enter Madeline shop so when I got a bit closer, Julien was suddenly talking to me and I got the fail message quest. Bullshit failing a quest because of a bug I never experienced before when playing on PS3 while I was just playing the PS4 version but it made me angry so I quit.

...

I too would be admiring that mass

What classes are easy mode in BBI?

Any kind of caster hybrid or access to daggers

>It's scales are hard to steal!
What did he mean by this

fucking princess dresses please make it stop

what if I named my pawn princess dress and then had her wear it ironically
would that be alright

...

Its really annoying how many pawns wear those. It's gotten to the point where I don't look at their stats anymore, I just instantly send any pawn with a princess dress away.
I guess that's fine. I usually take pawns because they're interesting or Veeky Forumsshionable.

>>Its really annoying how many pawns wear those. It's gotten to the point where I don't look at their stats anymore, I just instantly send any pawn with a princess dress away.

Likewise user

Even the fucking Seneschal wears it.

Isn't Dragon Dogma old as fuck by now? How can this general still alive?

This rc grind sucks. Can anyone use my pawn on ps4. he looks dumb because my equipment is lacking but he's solid. epimetheus150.

I don't like the after healing, just stay in one spot and if the pawn has killer magic stats, everyone wins

Re-re-re-release

PS4 and Xbox release.

Is there any point to the dagger core skill delay combo? It does the same amount of hits so it's not as good as any of the other melee weapons' core skill delay combos. Do the kicks inherently do more damage or some shit? Strike?

>Purify a BBI weap 2 and 3
>gives me a Magebreaker and Diabolic Shield
The game IS telling me to play MK now right?

Katawa shoujo

/magic canon only mystic knights/ ww@?

IIRC they do strike, yes, making them a good option for skellies. More than that, they have great stun and knockdown properties.

Superman punching everything is the only correct way to play MK.

Aside from getting the magic damage Augments, do I ever need to play boring-ass casters to properly play Mystic Knight
or can I just play him more tanky and level with fighter

Can't shove the godsbane into her fast enough.

>not ruinous sigil
???

No, stat growths barely matter, especially for attack, unless you're using a super gimmicky build that is not applicable to MK. Augments and weapons are all that matter for attack.

Plus you can play a completely physical MK if that's your thing, hybrid classes in general have so many options that you kind of necessarily ignore at least half of them and end up specialising in one sort of thing. Assassin and MA are both funnier examples imo, since most people sword+bow assassin and a handful dagger+shield, but in reality, sword+shield or dagger+bow are the best combos for assassin despite literally being a fighter/strider except with assassin counters/gouge; and a pure-physical magick archer is the strongest shit in the game even though that means you only use the bow for crowd control (moving enemies with vortex), casting buffs and picking off enchanted armour.

Is posting Dark Arisen PC version still allowed here? Also, rate my donut steel.
