Doesn't matter; everything has to be low-poly for a game. People assume what I'm saying is sculpting vs poly-modelling, but it isn't really. It's good workflow vs poor workflow. If you polymodel characters from scratch, every edge loop you add to a curved surface will change the shape and topology, which will look very ugly if it isn't heavily refined, which takes forever and still won't give you the best results. If you create a block mesh (be it through sculpting or simple blocking), it's basically free consistency for your shape. There's literally no reason not to do it, but people watch Darrin Lile's tutorials and think they have it all figured out when all they learned was the poor way.
