You can increase the amount of resources the emulator has access to on your computer. Completely removed all crashes for me.

You're good. Just make sure you have some half decent gear and upgrade some of it to +3. If you have an okay second fleet that can handle like two enemy fleets, then that main fleet should be able to handle another and the boss. I mean, don't forget to tack a 6th ship on there somewhere.
It's only crashed on my S7 once while I was just sitting on the sortie menu. It just decided it was done and went back to the home screen. Didn't even get a message that it stopped working. Android may have killed it itself. It loves to restart every time I switch to something else and back.
